I see a lot of mavericks and recons.

I assume that is because, when the picture was taken, that was mostly what was available. There's a Longshot in there and I think the Tommy one.
You know, I've never really wanted to mod my nerf guns before, and had never even brought a screwdriver near them. But for some reason, I got the urge to disassemble the front-gun on my Longshot. I'm not sure if I regret it or not, because while I like how quiet it was and the sniper rifle effect it gave the gun, I hated how badly it affected the main gun's firing capability, and now I'm thinking various ways to put the parts to use. I also ripped the skin off my fingers because of the screw driver I used, so I'm not letting that have been a waste.

Ow.
So, anyone going to actually get the Barricade?

Do the Front Gun Integration Mod.
EDIT: I tried and failed to find a walkthrough for you. Sorry mate.
It's loud as hell and it has to spin up before every shot.
Thing is though, its not like your going to stealth with it. you use a maverick or something for that. Go akimbo with it.
So, anyone going to actually get the Barricade?
I will. I'm not that concerned about it being a flywheel. Doesn't bother me that much.
I picked up a Barrel Break and one of the short swords about an hour ago. Also reserved a Stampede.
gota love nerf :-D
So I got an AT.
Really thin, really silent (for a nerf gun), and the magazine is fucking tiny.
It's awesome.
I walk into my target, looking for the lame half isle of nerf mavericks and raiders. Then I see a full selection of every gun, even the alpha trooper, and the new clear series.
Then I saw this:

Edit:Waitwhat, the sword is much bigger than it shows in the picture, how did I miss that?
Edit 2:Actually,I think the sword actually is that big.I saw another pic of it,it looks almost like a sawed-off sword.

The Recon and the Maverick are all great examples of why you'd be screwed if you had a gun that worked the same way in some kind of real zombie situation. You'd also be screwed in an HvZ game.
I made the mistake of using a Longshot for our HvZ game at our university. The Raider and to an extent the Vulcan are decent because one's pump action and basically semi-automatic and the other's fully automatic. With pretty high ammo capacity.
Still you run into the issue of trying to hit someone with something that moves as fast as a 4 year old can throw a baseball.

See, on the Humans Vs. Zombies forum, they really seem to disagree with you. As in they love them and are what pretty much everyone uses. Don't believe me. Go check for yourself.

As a matter of fact. The official site recommends NERF guns. That's like saying that you shouldn't take the recommended dosage of a medicine because you think you know better.

Oh man, what I would do with those...
Mod a holder for the knife (Knerfe?) on one of the large guns, have 2 swords for berserker style combat and use the shield with an axe as a last resort.
Perfect plan right there.

Imagining that shield as an axe made my head implode.

... Kuwait, Iraq?!
Just got another maverick, and that camo ammo holder, shit kicks ass.
I took the barrel tube out of the front gun for the Long Shot, sawed it down to about four and a half inches, then glued it inside the barrel of the main gun. It has a slight incline on it, which has given it about five feet more in range, but hasn't reduced the power. I'm still unwilling to modify them, anymore, since they are reliable already and as long as I'm somewhat careful, work beautifully.
Welp, looks like Hasbro are trying to market 'NERF Medieval' too, so how long until a NERF crossbow I wonder?

The short-sword is supposed to be like a Ninja kind of thing it seems, and the long sword seems to be the main melee weapon. The kind of thing that your riflemen and main forces and such would carry in to battle. Hefty, but powerful. The battle-axe was a little odd, but I guess if you were going to be a juggernaut kind of role, a battle-axe is the perfect fit. I think the Mace, because its light, short, and the head is weighted, would be a great weapon for a squad leader. Something quick but hard. The sword and shield though are confusing. I guess if you wanted like a riot control kind of thing almost or something like guard forces, then it fits.
As far as a Middle Ages warfare though, they already have the bow, and I'm sure they'll do a new crossbow when they finish up this round of guns. But if you think about it, those still do sorta fit. A bow or crossbow is a lot quieter and, if designed properly, could deliver more force with a larger round than the guns. If you are skilled enough with it, you could be a good sniper or even a rudimentary artillery unit.

Forget the included sword and use a bigger one. Then get a nerf grenade launcher. and maybe a bottle of scrumpy.

Use the short-sword, much easier and more effective.
