I know. I was talking about being practical. I solve practical problems.
Now we need a nerf sentrygun. and maybe a nerf robot hand too.
Now we need a nerf sentrygun. and maybe a nerf robot hand too.
vulcan. And what do you mean by NERF robot hand? Is it a robot hand covered in foam? Or is just a foam hand?
vulcan. And what do you mean by NERF robot hand? Is it a robot hand covered in foam? Or is just a foam hand?
Yeah, a foam hand :v:
I recently purchased the LongStrike CS-6 (The Sniper Rifle) and the Bandolier Kit. Not bad for $30 CDN. Nerf is really starting to resemble real guns. It has a Mag w/ mag realease, cocking bolt and the barrel comes off. The range is ALOT better with the barrel off. The gun itself is around 3 feet, the longest Nerf gun made currently, apparently. Would I reccomend it? Yeah, to anyone interested in Nerf.

Now we need to piss in a jar, or get a nerf SMG. Because we already got the Nerf kukuri's and Snipers!
You got lucky, the gun isn't being made anymore :v:
Really? There was almost 10 guns still there. You sure your not talking about the longshot? Not the longstrike?
Now we need to piss in a jar
Got it covered :smug:

Got it covered :smug:
I am pretty sure I heard somewhere on this thread that the Longstrike wasn't being produced anymore, but I just checked the hasbro site, and both guns are still on there :v:
You got lucky, the gun isn't being made anymore :v:
It's the longshot being discontinued , not the longstrike
It's the longshot being discontinued , not the longstrike
Ah, Im glad, was really looking forward to the release of the lonstrike in the netherlands, or maybe it is, just not available where I live :v:

C'mon, you know it'd be fun.
my recon was my most reliable. the freaking long shot cs6 wouldn't hit anything and would jam.
My poor 8 year old cousin got ripped off by his dickbag 'friends.' Apparently where he lives trading is very popular, with all their toys, NERF guns included. They convinced him that the longstrike was a sniper rifle and much better than the vulcan, so he traded his vulcan for their crummy longstrike. They also tricked him into trading his recon for the lever action repeater, and they didn't even give him the magazine, just the gun, one shell, and a dart. So, being the intimidation, he went to their houses with me and traded them back when I told him how bad they ripped him off and how the repeater actually did use a magazine and how the vulcan is $30 more than the longstrike (plus the 6 D batteries he also gave with the trade!) Reminds me how much I hate kids.
Just bought the longstrike. Gun is so boss, gonna mod it.
See, on the Humans Vs. Zombies forum, they really seem to disagree with you. As in they love them and are what pretty much everyone uses. Don't believe me. Go check for yourself. [editline]08:11PM[/editline] As a matter of fact. The official site recommends NERF guns. That's like saying that you shouldn't take the recommended dosage of a medicine because you think you know better.
Well the HvZ forums can have their opinions, in my opinion and personal experience most Nerf guns that were available in quarter 3 of 2010 were piss poor for something like HvZ.
Also, the Longshot is not being discontinued, the blue version is being phased out in favor of a yellow version. Good idea, I'd say. The longshot was too dark of a blue to match up with other guns, so might as well make it the same color as most of the other guns. ALSO if anyone can give me a guide to upgrading my longstrike, that'd be awesome.

Just review them here.
This is by far the most awesome mod ever:
YouTube is your friend. Edit: Anyone up for a NERF review thread?
I saw that video, but was hoping for a text or image based format. That guy bounces round topics and shit and doesn't really give a straight newbie guide to modding. Nevermind, found a great video. Going to Home Depot or something to get some PVC.
My Recon mod was a complete failure :frown:, I stretched out the spring too far and now it won't even fit in the gun. I don't know my own strength.
My Recon mod was a complete failure :frown:, I stretched out the spring too far and now it won't even fit in the gun. I don't know my own strength.
Spring stretching is amateur and ends up making it perform worse in the end Spring REPLACEMENT however...
Does anyone know about a nerf grenade launcher? I remember hearing something about one a while back but I forgot what it was called.
The Stampede and the Barrel Break looks fucking awesome. I'll have to get it the next time I go Nerf shopping.
I picked up a BB Rapid Fire Tek earlier. I gotta say that, while the clip system makes the shells a little more manageable and you can fire it pretty quickly and accurately with some work, the power is mediocre at best. [editline]04:40PM[/editline]
The Stampede and the Barrel Break looks fucking awesome. I'll have to get it the next time I go Nerf shopping.
The Barrel Break is a LOT more manageable than the Double Shot and seems to have roughly the same power. The actually loading and cocking mechanism is a little more complex, but much easier to perform. You press a level, pull the barrels forward, bend them down, put in the darts, fold it back up, and slide them back in to place. If you're quick enough, the entire process can be done in less time than a Double Shot though, since it doesn't use a string or anything. You also don't have to worry about shells, and with the ammo holder on the top, you can store more rounds.
