I don't get what people don't understand about stretching springs.

It doesn't make it "better" I just makes it weaker, but longer. I guess before a nerf war it would be a good idea to stretch out a mavericks spring, but other than it doesn't make it better.

Thats why you find a way to put weight in the darts. I had to do it because of my modded longshot.

The range seems about the same, if not less with the A/R's out.

I know it looks the same, but it isn't. The glue tipped darts carried alot farther than before. Without the A/R, it made the stock streamlines spazz out more. With weighted darts you will see an improvement.

When you remove the AR from a maverick does the gun try to destroy itself without proper padding?

My maverick is a bit hard to fire, you have to squeeze the trigger all the way for it to shoot, not exactly for rapid fire.

You should always pad things that have had its AR removed. I use the round circular foam pads that come in fun foam buckets in my LS.

to make it shoot farther refer to any other mod that uses the same plunger type as seen in the vulcan, nerf recycles plunger designs

So I just added a maverick spring, a maverick o-ring, and plugged the tiny hole on the plunger on my stampede. It shoots about 20 feet farther now.
