Something tells me you haven't actually used it. The grip is a little loose, but it's stable, the light is the same one as the mounted ones, and it's definitely not hard to reload unless you have no motor coordination skills. You use your thumb to hit the release while your fingers/palm grip the mag. It's pretty easy. Also it's a beautiful gun.
I haven't, but what I've seen and heard of it looked bad. I myself have never held one. The grip looked more than a little loose though.
I haven't, but what I've seen and heard of it looked bad. I myself have never held one.
So you just made completely unfounded claims. Nice.
I haven't, but what I've seen and heard of it looked bad. I myself have never held one. The grip looked more than a little loose though.
Very true. The stock and grip dont feel solid at all, and the grip feels very loose and fragile. Seems to preform pretty well though, on par with the Recon (Stock, at least). Though reloads are somewhat annoying and it really cant take anything other than 6 round mags. [editline]01:26AM[/editline]
So you just made completely unfounded claims. Nice.
They happened to be correct, for the record :v:
So you just made completely unfounded claims. Nice.
Yeah I've never held one before since I was scared away by the few video reviews I watched (the ones not hosted by mouthbreathing 8 year olds). It would have been foolish to watch a bunch of video reviews telling me to basically not buy the gun then say, "Oh they're lying and overreacting, the internet is always trying to trick me," and buy it anyway. The claims aren't completely sourceless.
I ordered a Barrel Break a day ago, and a Trooper today. I'm still waiting on the Barrel Break, but I must say I do like the trooper. I can't decide if it's better than the Raider, I'm leaning towards smaller but less powerful at this point. But I do really like the small drum mag it came with.
Dead zombies, dead zombies everywhere. And Swiss, so far, stock, my Alpha is going a bit farther than my buddies Raider. We arent allowed to mod guns at our HvZ unfortunately.
How does the gattling gun perform? Looks pretty badass.
How does the gattling gun perform? Looks pretty badass.
read reviews, people said it doesnt shoot, some of the darts dont shoot, some do some people said it's utter shit
read reviews, people said it doesnt shoot, some of the darts dont shoot, some do some people said it's utter shit
Most of the reviews of people saying they couldn't get it to shoot were moms, just FYI. The fire rate is a probably 2/3s that of the Vulcan, but the range and speed of the dart is absolutely crazy, it shoots better than almost any stock nerf gun. The only time the darts dont leave the belt is if you put them in the belt too far. Again, I seriously doubt many of the reviewers knew what they were doing. I actually did some tests against the Vulcan, Ill post them for some super-informative ness later, with pics and such. [editline]02:59AM[/editline] The guns are about the same size, the Vulcan weighs slightly more than the Punisher. The Vulcan feels significantly more durable however. The box mag is much more solidly attached to the Punisher than it is to the Vulcan. The dart belt of the Punisher is shorter, and holds 5 more darts than the Vulcans. The Punishers belt feeder has more exposed teeth, which seems to reduce jamming somewhat. Note that the Punisher uses a flywheel system (Which makes its great performance surprising) and doesnt have the manual backup cocking handle that the Vulcan does. On the other hand, the flywheel seems to jam less. The range test (May be a bit hard to see). Orange is Vulcan, Yellow is Punisher. The Punisher significantly outranged the Vulcan, and the Vulcans darts seemed to bounce an extra 2 feet or so after landing, so the actual effective range is even less. The Punishers darts also moved through the air significantly faster, but seemed less accurate. Overall feature comparison: -Durability: Vulcan wins this one, the Punishers plastic feels cheap. -Ammo capacity: The Punisher wins STOCK, but additional belts arent for sale, and Vulcan belts can be linked. -Battery life: I would assume the Vulcan, since the the Punisher has the extra motor to power the barrels. Plus the Vulcan has a backup cocking handle. -Performance: Punisher wins hands down in the range and power department, but the Vulcan edges it out slightly in accuracy and rate of fire. -Looks: Gotta say, spinning barrels are pretty badass. -Overall: I say the Punisher is totally worth the money (Cheaper than the Vulcan in fact) due to the better performance and uniqueness/badass factor. The Vulcan is probably a bit more practical since extra ammo belts can be purchased and the battery life is probably better. The Punisher is nothing to turn up ones nose at however, and seriously fuck shit up if used properly. EDIT: Slight update, sucker darts in the Punisher make it much more accurate and give it slightly more range than the darts it comes with.
Oh wow, awesome. It's only $40 too, will definitely consider. That's too bad about the belts though. Just out of curiousity, would it be possible to detach the box, load the belt into the gun, fire half of the belt, then tape one end of the belt to the opposite end? As in, is it long enough?

[editline]03:27AM[/editline] This does in fact work, and it even seems that the belt was meant to be linked into a full circle, as the ends have connectors on the ends, all that would be needed is a pin to hold them together. However, this would not be practical for outdoors or HVZ since the darts are not stuck in the belt nearly as securely as they are on the Vulcan, and running or lots of shaking would almost certainly make them fall out.. Definitely a practical idea for indoors or holding an area down from a stationary position though. Good idea bro :buddy: [editline]03:38AM[/editline] I can do more gun comparisons as well if you guys dont feel like watching video reviews be retarded 8 year olds with low quality cameras. My dorm has almost every Nerf brand gun and a few non-nerf guns as well.
Aha that's cool. I was just thinking about how I would, if I bought it, reload it once the 25 darts ran out. If that worked it'd be like a giant, fully automatic revolver :haw:

Im sure this could be fixed/removed with a little mod work though.
With a little work, you could probably create a belt for it. Seems like it would be an effective emplacement. Put it down in an area you need to secure, and leave a person or two behind to man it. Have one person actually firing it, and another waiting to reload and retrieve darts and provide cover for the gunner.
I wonder if it would be possible to make a (purely asthetic) gatling gun addon to the Vulcan. Just so you see a pretty spinning barrel while you shoot people. [editline]07:10AM[/editline] Someone should run around screaming Heavy lines whilst wearing a NERF Vulvan belt bandolier, kinda like the official one but with minigun belts attached so they go around someone.

*Steampunk-ish
*Steampunk-ish
Maybe that.
So does HvZ allow nerf swords and stuff? I'd love to go double longsword like bad ass romans used to.
So does HvZ allow nerf swords and stuff? I'd love to go double longsword like bad ass romans used to.
Depends on the hosts. The problem is that, without proper balance, it risks being overpowered because you can just swipe and stun everything. [editline]06:11PM[/editline] I'm actually working on a shield for HvZ using the large, three part poster boards, some lightweight aluminum sheeting, and some hinges. The poster boards are for padding on the outside so it doesn't hurt someone if they hit it, and the aluminum sheeting is for structural integrity. The hinges are so I can attach sheeting to the side panels, that way I can make it wide and cover a large area, or pull them back around me and have decent side protection, so sneaky zombies don't go reaching around the sides.
Here's a tip: When jumping at somebody to grab their gun indoors make sure they're not still holding onto the gun when you run away. You may bash their head on a corner.
wow holy fuck i've really been out of it. some of this new stuff looks amazing. I want the machine gun.
Modified my Maverick so it ejects the cylinder all the way out by sanding down the tabs. Pretty neat stuff.
