Bought a "Raider CS-35" recently, and damn is it fun to use.
The only problem I have is that the clip (35 rounds, drum) is a pain in the ass. It's heavy, awkwardly placed, and I tore up my thumb after I opened it up and accidentally unwound the metal coil inside that automatically retracts it.
Also, if you're not careful while firing it in "auto" mode, it jams.
I don't really have any guns to compare it with for accuracy, strength, or rate of fire.
Mbbird: Here is a guide to modding the Maverick, the slip clutch is section 3.
Ryuken: Yes, Longshots are gone. They have been replaced with the Longstrike, which, despite being somewhat more limited in its modding capabilities, has better stock performance and is much, MUCH smaller.
Itszutak: The Raider is pretty mediocre, most people I know here who have one bought it for the drum. The Alpha Trooper, which just came out, is basically a smaller, more reliable, longer-ranged Raider with only a $20 price tag. The downside is that its drum holds 18, as opposed to the Raider's 35.
Oh, and the Raider drum can actually hold 36, and the Alpha Trooper drum can hold 20. Don't overload standard magazines, though, or they crush the darts and jam.
Recently got that buzzbee double shot, and wow, the power is fantastic for a knockoff brand. It's really fun but the practical application is absent.

Buzzbee is hardly a knock-off. Nerf is just the most well known and most popular, but Buzzbee is a legitimate manufacturer.

I just wished they looked better, the stock/holding thing on the back of the double shot is useless and the grip is the opposite of ergonomic. Other than that, they look too cartooney and the color selection is just odd.

Maybe Buzzbee should take some of the designs from Borderlands for their new ones (probably that's not going to happen), like the sniper and revolver.
I'm very pissed because I keep getting bullshit from the Walmart goons about the Spectre. First time I asked, I was told they had six on order. That was last Monday. I came back on Wednesday, they told me they had three in the warehouse and to check back in the next couple days. I checked back on Friday, and they said they still had them in the warehouse, but told me to check back some time in the next few weeks. I was picking up some extra darts today, and figured I'd see what response I'd get this time, and they refused to even tell me.
When exactly is the spectre supposed to come out? I really want to get it.
Sometime this month. Most Walmarts I've been to already have a spot for it, marked even with the barcode and price. They just don't have the goddamned gun.
Auuugh. I really want it.
I'm gonna check again on Tuesday, and if its not in, I'm beating something to death.
Is is me, or did Nerf guns start looking legit right as I started to think I was to old to own one?
Just seeing how awesome custom painted NERF guns look like, I'm really starting to think they actually should start to manufacture real guns.
Yes it does, it fires the dart mid-rotation, so if the dart does not leave the cylinder in time, it gets caught. The spectre, however, rotates the cylinder when it is cocked, which would totally eliminate any possibility of that previous issue.
Yes, mine jams if the dart's head is bent. Even slightly.

Trying to fire a gun using a bent bullet generally does not lead to happy times.
Im back again.
I have the maverick.
Now for my next move.
Pinpoint sight, deploy or firefly?
The sight is cool but not really useful, the Deploy is interesting to play around with but kind of sucks performance-wise, and the Firefly is an 8-shot Maverick with useless electronics. Go with an Alpha Trooper.

I dont have any stock or shit, so I would not like that. Im gonna be close quarters.
For CQC go firefly. It's really compact, built like a P90.
So, soon I'm thinking of snagging my first battery operated Nerf blaster, I don't mean with a light I mean an electrically driven firing mechanism. And I have a battery powered blaster but that one is a Buzzbee.
Well, to the point, any suggestions? I was thinking the Vulcan but the Stampede looks good too.
Holy shit i thought this was dead. Also Vulcan is meh, get the Stampede over the two.

I figured as much, though I might wind up with the Vulcan first anyway as all places I look have it for five dollars less. besides, belt fed badassness. I wonder if it can be modded to take a rechargable RC car battery though.
Would you rather pay $5 less for what is essentially motorized maverick internals (hint: shit) or $50 for an actual good gun
You get 25 darts and one belt for five dollars less, or 60 darts, three 18 shot clips and a 6 shot clip, and much easier to wield, for five dollars more.
Spiderface is trolling this thread with dumbs.
He's doing it to all threads, not just this one.
Ok, maybe the Stampede would be best to get my hands on first.
Picked up a Buzzbee Belt Blaster because it looks like a Spartan laser, which goes well with my Master Chief costume.

I like it, it just seems sort of weak and the belt breaks apart easily, but the action is smooth and if you reduce the size of the belt to 20 shells it's a lot better, then you have a cool advancing magazine type thing kinda like the Bastard from Metro 2033
I actually need some help fixing the bolt to my Longstrike. Superglue didn't work very well, any tips?
Hot glue?
