I have 2 Mavericks (1 of them being clear), 2 Hornets, a Recon, a Raider, a Longshot, a Vulcan, a nite finder, a Titan and about 5 Secret shots. I realy realy want the longstrike and the stampede, but i plan on getting all of them eventualy. I haven't done much modding with nerf guns, only took the air restrictors out of my clear Maverick and pulled my longshot apart and put it back together for shits and giggles. Does anyone know of HvZ or any nerf wars at all happening in Melbourne, Australia, i haven't had any luck finding much of a community for it here.
I was at Walmart, picking some stuff up, when I thought "Hey, I'll check and see if they finally have a Spectre in." I was wrong. They had eight. I wanted to buy them all and horde them, but I couldn't. Bought mine, opened the box and put it together at red lights, then as soon as I opened the front door, fired a dart straight down the hallway. I have not been disappointed.
I'm so awesome that I can use two claymores at the same time mainly effectively
Imagine playing Nerf like Paintball or Airsoft. Haha, it would be so fun!
Imagine playing Nerf like Paintball or Airsoft. Haha, it would be so fun!
...What?
He means like doing it out in the woods or in the massive open areas that Airsoft and Paintball are played in.
That, wouldn't work very good at all. Speedball-type areas, maybe.
Imagine playing Nerf like Paintball or Airsoft. Haha, it would be so fun!
They kind of already do, just check out some of the videos on forsakenangel24's channel.
what the hell those nerf melee weapons have some kind of metal pole inside of them that hurts infact that whole sword/axe/mace thing is made out of rubber hard rubber
That, wouldn't work very good at all. Speedball-type areas, maybe.
We only play HvZ in large open areas so we don't lose darts, and we still manage to lose them. I'd really like a building to play in or something.
So, thinking of giving my Longshot and one of my Maverick's a nice paintjob. Anyone got tutorials on how to go about this? And, honestly, I'd like to avoid sanding.
I now have maverick, barrel-break, recon, and deploy. Guys fuck yourselves, deploy is awesome.
So, thinking of giving my Longshot and one of my Maverick's a nice paintjob. Anyone got tutorials on how to go about this? And, honestly, I'd like to avoid sanding.
Sanding the surface lightly makes the spraypaint stick better.
Sanding the surface lightly makes the spraypaint stick better.
Just know that there are spraypaints made to bond to plastic, so figured I MIGHT be able to get away without sanding, sadly I can't seen to find any metallic colors. Will try a hardware store soon
You should pretty much always sand the surface, regardless of the kind of paint you use. It really isn't that hard anyway. Just get a really fine grit and sand it for a couple minutes. You don't need to spend hours on it.
Ok then, just don't want too rough a finish, but I guess the paint will probably make it shine again.
Ok then, just don't want too rough a finish, but I guess the paint will probably make it shine again.
Really fine sandpaper won't damage the plastic finish, it just creates striations for the paint to stick to, it's unnoticeable after painting.
II wANT one!!!!!!!!!!!!111
highly appropriate avatar
Really fine sandpaper won't damage the plastic finish, it just creates striations for the paint to stick to, it's unnoticeable after painting.
Ok the, so, really fine grit sand paper and desired spray paint colors.
That should do it. Although I'd get some painter's tape as well, in case you wanted to paint certain sections of a part.
A few of them reminds me of Borderlands.
Put the Recon Barrel on the Deploy and see how much it reminds you of Borderlands :smug:
Ok the, so, really fine grit sand paper and desired spray paint colors.
Yeah, and as venom said, painters tape. You don't need to sand too hard, just make sure there's a little bit of rough for the paint to stick to. You won't even notice it once the paint is applied, and make sure your coating is even and from a decent distance so you don't get any drip (I fucked up a G36c airsoft gun paint job because I didn't pay attention to that).
I now have maverick, barrel-break, recon, and deploy. Guys fuck yourselves, deploy is awesome.
Dude, you have all the stuff I want. Shame I have to buy it from ebay. Australia sucks in regards to nerf gun availability. Any Australians know what stores I can buy Nerf stuff from? Last time i looked in Toys are Us and Target all they had was mavericks and longshots :(
I got recon from target...just wait a while. But, Big W has some.
Oh, I have a recon, its in pieces in-front of me, trying to salvage parts from a nightfire pistol(trigger Spring) to get it back in working order, lost the extended barrel tho, so its becoming less of a priority. Seriously considering ebaying a stampede and a alpha trooper/double break, for about $150. Going shopping tomorrow, will check all retail stores.
Ooh, NERF thread. I'm tempted to get one of those Buzzbee shotguns. The colours are awful, but it looks like a larf to play with. (That, or the lever action one)
Ooh, NERF thread. I'm tempted to get one of those Buzzbee shotguns. The colours are awful, but it looks like a larf to play with. (That, or the lever action one)
They're really fun to goof around with, I love the break action.
It does look neat. I like the fact that they eject shells; it's a nice touch. I've seen the NERF equivalent (the break barrel) and it looks a bit chunky.
The barrel break looks terrible and a bitch to load, IMO I really want that lever rifle.
The barrel break is decent and its actually really easy to cock. The problem is that the design is so damned bulky, and you can pretty much only fire whistlers.
I have the Deploy CS-6, mainly because its portable and the cock is actually the grip which makes firing and aiming easier...
