the cock is actually the grip
Grab your cock and pump it to make it fire.
Ooh, NERF thread.
I'm tempted to get one of those Buzzbee shotguns. The colours are awful, but it looks like a larf to play with. (That, or the lever action one)
I bought 2 and duct taped them together, fuck yeah.
Stocks are awesome.
I want the Barrel Break to have that shotgun handle stock.

Like dis bitch.
The double barrel Buzzbee shotgun would be perfect for a Mad Max costume.
I think people will find you hard to take seriously when you're running around with guns that look like children's toys.
We don't all want to look like thugs either, besides these look safe enough to use in an office, without breaking shit. :v:

Even better with the barrels sawn off. I might be tempted to try that if I buy one. (Not painting it black/silver, though; maybe give it a nice Borderlands colour scheme)
Anyone else picking up a barricade on the 15th? I have a feeling it will be the perfect HvZ sidearm coupled with my Punisher.

Nope. Flywheel is loud as fuck, I'd have better luck running a leafblower and putting darts in it.
a leafblower and putting darts in it.
oh god that'd be fucking rad

The Punisher is a flywheel, so Im already pretty much fucked for stealth.
Best part is that it shoots better than any stock Nerf gun. Flywheel haters gonna hate.

And really, its HvZ, stealth isnt needed. And by the time Im pulling a sidearm, they obviously already know where I am.

NERF cannon coming right up as soon as I get some dollar.

doooo itttt

Just stuff an air cannon full of darts, much easier and much more powerful.

I don't think I'll pick one up right away, but I'll probably eventually be buying a couple of them because dual pistols are my favorite weapon combo.

A nice bonus being not having to cock them after every shot.
For any Australians who care, I just today went and picked up a Stampede for 79 bucks at toys are us. They had Raiders for the same price. Mavericks at target for 13/15 bucks, while nitefinders (dope ass range when modded, much further then my unmodded maverick) were like 7 bucks. Unfortunately no Alpha troopers, barrel breaks and only one longstrike(saw the dude buy the last one)
If you want a good handgun, get a Spectre, the thing has unbelievable range, speed, and force stock. Its a little lighter than a Maverick, much sturdier, and a little thinner and longer. It will not jam unless you are a complete fuckwit and grab the cylinder while it is cycling. The slide is also better, as the rails are on the front of the gun, not the slide. The included stock is also surprisingly sturdy for how it appears, and does help with accuracy in a way. The silencer is shit and will fuck your range notably. That one less dart is made up for ten-fold by the rest of the gun. I also find it is easier to load, although the cylinder is a lot tighter so instead of simply flopping out like a maverick then flipping back in, you do have to put some pressure to push it out and it does take a fair amount of force to push it back in. Overall though, it makes the gun more solid feeling.
I was just thinking, how does one get the cylinder for the Maverick apart to make painting easier? I was thinking the two arm things would make painting difficult.
Take the maverick apart.
It's a pretty simple design, and it's pretty cool to see how it all works.
I've got three unmodded Mavericks. Two I'm going to combine and do the "Double Cylinder" mod. The other, I have no idea.
Well, got my hands on the Stampede at Walmart today for around 40 bucks. A little noisy but I love it so far. A little heavy from the six D cells I was hoping it wouldn't need, but oh well, and the windowed firing mechanism is a nice touch.
I've actually found the weight of the batteries to be useful when aiming. It inadvertently gives the gun that arc needed to give the darts extra range.
Agree with Zeddy, although sometimes my darts go spiraling to the ground, an incorrect load maybe?
Also, I'm thinking of buying a buzzbee shotgun and sawing off the barrels, only because I'm too impatient to wait for the barrel break to be released. Any recommendations?

Sounds like a damaged dart. The Stampede can not handle damaged darts at all. Normal Nerf guns may occasionally act weird when firing a bad dart, but the Stampede just refuses to work right under any conditions.
Really hope I didn't get myself a lemon then. I got it one one of those rollback deals so I got it ten dollars less, I only have to spend a bit more on batteries and got the warranty.

I thought the barrel break was already out...?

The gun should be fine, the problem is most likely the darts.

Some countries may still not have it. Most of these guns were released in places like Singapore back at the start of the summer, before we even knew they existed.
The fuck, I haven't had this Stampede home a week and the batteries in it are dead. Hopefully it's not a problem with the gun, if so it explains the need for six D cells.
So I read this thread, and I was happy that Nerfs are cool now. So I went out to Toys R Us and went to the Nerf section. There was a 30% discount on all BuzzBee things, BUT(!!!) they didn't have the double shot or lever action. I was all RAGE. They had the Tommy 20 and MECH Tommy 20, and the big thing that shoots darts and missiles, but I chose a pair of Mavericks and a Recon. There was a deal for a free pack of darts for each gun I bought, so that was cool. I also got the extra clips+clip darts set. I'm highly impressed with how cool they are. I'm thinking of painting one of the Mavericks, any suggestions? Also going to remove the air restrictors on both of them.
Nah, I'm not painting the Recon yet until I have some more guns to work with.
