Is it theoretically possible to mod a nerf gun to the point where its lethal? For example removing the ends of the foam darts and applying thin light wait metal needles, and increasing the fire rate.

It's possible to make anything lethal.

Yes it is, you'll need a stronger spring to launch the darts and sharp points to stab the target. You might even be able to make a single shot zip-gun out of them with an insanely strong firing spring and a 2-3 inch long needle worked into the dart.

I used to have one of those, so I can attest to how awesome they are. I want that repeater, though. I want a Deploy, a Recon, and a Longstrike Better start saving up

To all of you guys wanting recons, I would advise against it. They tend to be pretty weak, and if you add the barrel extension, it cuts the distance in half. The only use I found for mine was to remove the spring and add it to my Longshot. On the other hand, the double shot it pretty good. The orange shells tend to get in the way, but it looks really cool and fires pretty nicely.

Ugh I went to 4 stores today and none of them had a longshot. Even toys r us didn't carry it. I'm not talking about it being out of stock, 4 stores that carry nerf had every single nerf product except for the longshot and the 4 stores didn't even have a spot on the shelf for a longshot. Are they phasing out the gun? God damnit :argh:
