Baby WEAPON!!!
Oh my god I loved having that Titan.
Running around to my sister's long hair and fucking it up with air.

The NiteFinder is a pretty reliable gun. Pretty good range and I think it was the very first Nerf gun I got.

Which is awesome, yes, but it will get you killed in seconds if you play HvZ. On another note, yes the Nitefinder is awesome, but I think I'll get a Recon for my sidearm so it can share clips with my longshot.

I'm trying to organize a game of HvZ in my high school. Hopefully everything would go well once I start advertising it.

I'm not experienced enough to write you a guide on organizing a game; you can find those on the official website. I can give you my Survival Bible though...
-A successfully infected human is literally worth infinitely more than a zombie takedown (they can respawn as many times as they want), so don't gamble; the stakes are weighted heavily against you.
-Zombies do not always understand the above, and they are often more scared of you than you are of them. Use that to your advantage; they will often stay just outside of range, not truly a threat, but something you have to keep an eye on constantly, wasting your precious time and effort. Try aiming at them and taking a few quick steps forward, as if you are about to attack them. With any luck, they will back away and decide you aren't worth it. Do not ACTUALLY run after them to attack unless you are sure that the area is safe (rarely possible) and that you are covered by your allies.
-Obviously you need to carry spare ammo, but an interesting fact is that the more people you have, the less extra ammo you need per person. This is because in a large group, some members can keep watch while others gather darts, load clips, and distribute.
-Having one or two backup weapons is a fantastic choice, but only if you can effectively carry and maintain all of them, and are willing to leave one behind in an emergency situation.
-Keep looking around. Even if you're in the middle of a field and you're covering a zombie who is skulking around behind a tree you're moving towards, glance around every once and a while to make sure there isn't a silent runner diving at your ass.
-Protect your teammates while they're within range of your guns; shoot at zombies chasing them, or even just use the intimidating factor of your guns to keep the zombies at a distance. If they break formation unexpectedly, though, DO NOT follow them; chances are they have been lured away by the zombies for the express purpose of tricking you.
SOME GOOD PRIMARY GUNS FOR HvZ:
Longshot - Uses clips, fairly long range, bolt action, can fire fairly quickly with some skill, large yet light, can be difficult to learn to reload efficiently; definitely requires a shoulder strap if used with any other guns
Raider - Uses clips, short range, not extremely accurate, pump action, can fire extremely quickly, small and light, also slightly difficult to reload at first
Stampede - Uses clips, fully automatic, large and quite heavy, short range, can fire quickly with very little effort, but requires a lot of self control or you'll be running out of ammo VERY fast.
That's all I can really describe for you weaponwise, but I will say one other thing; don't use Buzz Bee guns that utilize shells, unless you've modded that requirement away. They're cool, yes, but never ever practical for HvZ.

I have a question: What do you do with your darts laying around? How do you get them back? Do the zombies like let you take them or do you collect them after the game is done/

Also, thanks for the tip!

It depends on the people who you are laying with. If they are nice, when they get hit by a dart, they will collect some of the darts and hand them over to you. If they don't really care, then you will have to collect darts as you go.

Okay, so here's the deal; when you shoot the zombies, depending on what type of game you're playing, they either go to respawn or are stunned for a period of time. Either way, you should get your buddies to cover you while you collect fallen darts. You won't necessarily be picking up YOUR darts, so make sure you know how many you brought so you can get them from the communal stockpile at the end.
EDIT: Aw jeah post 500.
I want to go camping in an abandoned part of a forest or something and play HvZ, have the humans make a fort in an abandoned cabin and zombies have to sleep in a camp outside.
this is way better than nerf guns
Looks dumb
Actually, you can get longer ranges than most modded nerf guns just by using a PVC blowgun. It's also generally more accurate. It 's just that you have to have the lungs to achieve long distances.
Three summers ago I cleaned out my closet. Got a rid of a lot of toys I hadn't touched, and all of my nerf guns except for one.
The NERF N-STRIKE NITE FINDER EX-3, except mine was the purple n orange one. Not the silly yellow ones that are on the market now.
My brother just bought the barrel break and it's fucking badass. One of my favorite Nerf guns to date.
Anyone have any experience with Vulcan, How good of range does it get modded and unmodded?
The Barrel Break is so good and badass. I LOVE IT SO!
The Barrel Break is so good and badass. I LOVE IT SO!
I'd love to try that gun, but I'm not really looking to buy any more right now. How inconvenient is it to reload?

It's pretty easy to reload actually. Push down on a side trigger and pop down the barrel, put in 2 darts then pop it back up and pump. The range you get for two darts are pretty good. You can fire one barrel or just fire both which is such an awesome feature.

Now here's the thing; how easy would it be to reload when I'm holding something in my off hand?
Now here's the thing; how easy would it be to reload when I'm holding something in my off hand?
It would get pretty wonky then. If you could free at least two of your fingers while still able to hold the gun or whatever you're holding on the other, you could do it in about 6-10 seconds.
For me: Real guns, then Airsoft, then nerf, then paintball.
How the hell are you supposed to aim down the sights of a paintball gun WITH THE GOD DAMNED AMMO THING IN THE WAY?!
And the pain.
Oh god the pain.
For me: Real Guns,paintball,airsoft,nerf.
I've been in a cuple of paintball matches and I don't really mind the pain.
It's just so fun sneaking trough the forest and ambushing/flanking people.
this is also far superior to nerf guns
Anyone have any experience with Vulcan, How good of range does it get modded and unmodded?
The range is OK with new batteries, when the batteries get weak, so does the range. Single shot, its not too far off from the long shot. My gripe with it is that the chain won't hold a lot of my darts, so they end up falling out without the ammo can attached, and it simply jams too easily (darts get jammed in the barrel). I'd much rather just get a Stampede.
Stampede - Uses clips, fully automatic, large and quite heavy, short range, can fire quickly with very little effort, but requires a lot of self control or you'll be running out of ammo VERY fast.
As for the Stampede, fire in bursts/semi-automatic. 18 rounds are not a lot.

Holy god damn.
should i get the raider? i have a longshot and a maverick, and i want a third gun but im not sure if the raider is good...
It's a good blaster to use. The ranges aren't the best because it's a reverse plunger and the barrel is longer than is necessary but the slam fire is fun to use with the 35 round drum.
That being said, get an Alpha Trooper
Anyone have any experience with Vulcan, How good of range does it get modded and unmodded?
Ranges are not the best when fired flat but when angled you get decent ranges. Just take off the fake front barrel and the AR's and you're good to go.
It's very fun to use especially when you amp up the battery power with a longer chain of darts.
should i get the raider? i have a longshot and a maverick, and i want a third gun but im not sure if the raider is good...
You can use the drum mag with ANY gun that can use a mag period, so I'd say so.

Yep, the drum mag is easily the best part of the Raider. Other than that, it has okay range, accuracy, and power, nothing special at all, but slam fire is kinda cool and it's really small and light. It would make a good secondary if your primary isn't too bulky.
