Anyone else love the hardcore genre? - General

i think they are the mallcore goth kids that actually don't know what hardcore is

true they probably see people call those bands hardcore and then assume that bands like that are hardcore punk but in actuality they are super wrong

Okay now I get it. What I call hardcore really is just [B]metalcore/post-hardcore[/B] A quick list: Blessthefall, Attack Attack!(Both already mentioned), From First to Last, The Word Alive, Chiodos(somewhat). I don't see the point in complaining about Metalcore if you like Metal itself. There are few similarities but unless your very close-minded about real metal, then you most likely won't like it. (Yes guys, TWA is pretty much metalcore)

Everyone on Facepunch calls me a faggot or tells me to get a decent taste in music because I listen to post-hardcore. When I say I enjoy those bands, however, people assume that I think that music is talented and hardcore \m/ metal. And it isn't. Anaal Nathrakh, another band I thoroughly enjoy, is more hardcore \m/ shit and talented than post-hardcore. But I still enjoy both.

Anaal Nathrakh are like the single heaviest band ever But they can still keep great melody and rhythm in their songs, for which I commend them hugely. That takes real talent. And the fact that it's only two guys just makes it even more impressive. Also I like Escape the Fate sue me

I like hardcore. I like some metalcore and deathcore too but I don't like their douche fans.

Mind you they could be groove, fuck knows I don't care.

Generally I dislike metalcore, pretty much because of the same reason as bravehat, plus it's not even a great sound. There are some good bands in it though. Nothing great.

Some people call Chimaira and Lamb of God metalcore, which I find weird The only metalcore I like is Parkway Drive, and even they don't want to be associated with it

Parkway Drive are very hardcore influenced more than metalcore. And yeah, I don't understand why LoG are called Metalcore. Even Mastodon have been called Metalcore, I don't understand that at all.
