I can help you out loads here. My sisters boyfriend is legally blind too. I believe he can only see 10-20% out of one of his eyes, the other eye is full of cataracts [sp?] He told me the way he became more fond of himself and stopped telling himself so much that he's fucked in life, was by working out. Running, Push-ups, etc. etc. Just work on that and you'll feel more comfortable with yourself. :)
I have fucked eyes too. I can only use one eye at a time, so whatever eye I'm not using goes off and turns into a lazy eye. I have to switch between eyes constantly because one is nearsighted and one is farsighted. This also makes depth perception a slow process for me because I have to take a picture of something with one eye, switch, then take a picture with the other in order to determine accurately how far away something is. I'm not the most attractive guy in the world either. Despite these things, I have a successful social life because I don't whine about them. Your intention may not be to whine, but every time you blame being sheltered and your vision for your social ineptitude, you're whining. Really, all you can do is just man up and deal with it. Life isn't like poker, you don't get to fold and get a new set of cards. You have to play the ones you're given, even if they're really shitty. However, you're more likely to win if you bluff and bet your ass off than you are if you sit and tell everyone how shitty your hand is. My ugly mug at prom. There is no way around what you have. There is no magical way to put aside your vision impairment and your looks as if they never existed. Play your fucking cards the best you can, let luck handle the rest. Can't get lucky if you never gamble.
make a thread tl;dr for this threads op, I got vision problem lol rate me heart

And if it makes any difference (I doubt it will, you yourself said you've manned up to life and just enjoy it and have a good social life) you really aren't that bad looking. Honestly, the eyes aren't that big a deal. Loads of girls don't mind - at least, not where I live. Also, you're above average definitely and you have a friendly face!
Here is me. I don't smile in any pictures and I wasn't aware one was being taken, so....
You look perfectly fine you muppet. You're an average looking guy. Honestly, get out more, do stuff you enjoy, get fit. Before you know it, you'll look a lot better than most guys. You just gotta beam your face up a bit more. That picture makes you look very depressing. PS: Forgot to mention, for a preemie, you sure as hell turned out bigger than most guys.

I don't smile much because I hate the way I look when I smile. And to your PS, I'm only 5'2" and 98 pounds. I'm pretty sure preemie guys can be bigger than that, I dunno. Thanks anyways. I've always wanted to get into game design but never could be arsed to learn coding and all that shit. Maybe I should?

You'd get fed up damn quick coding day-in day-out. You have enough time on the PC when you're at home and relaxing, you don't want to ruin that by taking up a job that has you on the PC 24/7, but that's just my 2 cents! And I said to excercise and get out more not because you look fat, but because it'd make you feel a lot more confident about yourself. Also your weight isn't too bad for your height.
My brother went blind because of premature birth, but only temporary. It was also when he was about 1 year old or something so he doesn't remember much. Anyways, thank god I only wear glasses. Also, i feel bad for ya man.
I don't ask for pity, but it feels good to know that people I don't know can care more than people you do know. you guys. By the way, it seems I'm only really happy when I listen to music, I don't know what that signifies.
