For the eye take reference to the mouth and make sharper lines for the crease where the top lid connects to the brow, and overall make the brushes less soft except for shine.
thanx for the input, but I only had 10 min on the tut, and I wasn't using any reference, just wanna demonstrate the technique ^^
a more finished one would look like this:

or the Samus one posed above.
and I'll just leave the sound blank then for the mouth, unless my allergy won't start again :x
Holy fuck that face in the picture you just posted looks a lot like a photo.
thankies xD
it's actually a cyber girl that I never got the time to finish :(

I used my 3D model as base.
Smart, to be honest I don't like to use 3d models in my paintings, I don't know why, I just feel it's being lazy.
It means no insult about your skills, I believe you are very good, it's just my personal opinion on using 3d objects. But hey, most traditional people say straight up digital art itself is lazy so I can't talk.
edit- I'll post a tut for the concept.org painting I am doing later
Thankies ^^
I do traditional, 2D only, and 3D-2D hybrid, and 3D only stuff :]
Traditional is a pain in the neck to upload lol...
and they are all the class work I did for some misc art class I took so that I can graduate xD
Nice, I am only a sophie in high school so they're trying to teach me about line weights when I learned that 2 years ago by myself lol.
I'm a senior in uni, I learned almost everything about art on my own.
I learn computer graphic: software algorithms in classes xD
like coding a 3D rending program, a image filter, and etc.
Nice, I could never get into programming, it just seems too boring, but I can model (to an extent), texture, traditional and digital. But I think having a well rounded portfolio like yours is best. :)
I'm actually going into biomedical engineering in graduate school though xD
Wow nice, I am going for the art school. :3
I was initially aiming for Marine Biology but my interest in art beats it by a tad bit so I am going for art (also has the possibility of paying ALOT more then marine biology).
I was thinking about business in high school, then I shifted to electronic engineering, then computer engineering, then computer science engineering, then ended up in apply science engineering with nanotechnology for undergrad. Yet, I'm going for biomed engineering xD
I will never be a doctor though, as I'm afraid of the blood T.T
I'm thinking about gaming development too, for a master degree, but I'll see ^^
Results in 3 months! ><
Very nice tut, i wish i was a little better at photoshop :(. The only things i can make with it is my avatar and stuff like that ^^.
I started off making avatars and stuff too, but then I sort of combined traditional techniques and digital techniques together to make stuff now :]
Ok, i'll guess i'll start learning again :D.
Everyone has to start somewhere, ddrl :D
Oh, and maya- I see you're working on a mouth tutorial now? Can't wait to see how that turns out. Lips have been one of my downfalls... It forces me to default to basic line-art mouths >_>;
