Went to the range today. Didn't feel like carrying my whole range bag out for one gun, so I loaded up a bandolier with Garand clips, and took my muffs.
Was shooting, having a pretty good time. The ammo my dad bought me for Christmas only seems to cycle the gun enough to load the last round only about once per clip, on average.
While shooting, a couple Russian (real Russian immigrants) set up next to me and began shooting an M38 Nagant carbine one of them had just bought. I traded them a couple rounds.
That Nagant kicks, but man was it satisfying!

The range of a shotgun is determined on the choke. Most shotguns reach max velocity within 10 inches of barrel length. The shortness would effect it, but 25 yards would definitely be lethal. Full choke would be recommended

The only advantage a progressive has over a turret is auto shell eject. Don't waste the money on it. Get a turret and dies for your calibers.

I'm happy with it. Only real complain is the powder measure tends to spit powder out around when feeding.
Thanks I've shoot a few boxes of that. Not bad ammo, but at $0.83/round I think I can do better reloading.

Yeah I've heard a lot of people ditch the Lee powder measure for a Redding or Lyman
It's not spitting out of the powder bowl, but rather the measuring plates on it. I might do some sanding on it and rub some graphite around it to make it seal better.
