Even if it pretty much is just a stage prop, that DP28 is pretty kickin' rad. And seeing the '86 ban go away would be pretty sweet. I'd love to be able to buy an automatic that doesn't cost 10 grand.
Or register a parts kit and restore it to firing condition. The DP28 has a really meaty receiver, about a quarter inch thick all around so it'd be really easy to weld it up. Just take a bit of time to grind everything smooth on the inside, especially through the barrel threads. Could also Make and Register an MG from scratch, something currently reserved only for Fred and the Popo. Probably be able to gut the Hughes Amendment on that little detail alone, blatant violation of the 2nd Amendment right there. If I could afford a lawyer I'd file one of those for the DP28 and then sue their sorry asses when they reject it. Sue em for the cost of a transferable DP28 and the $200 fine, hah.
If the hughes and NFA ever get properly dealt with, first thing I'd do is buy an MG-42 parts kit and register it.
Alright, question time. For a suppressor, will I pay anually for the stamp? For a class 3, you do pay anually, does it depend on what you're getting? How much will it cost me to own a mortar and fire chalk rounds all day, and flares all night?
It's a one time payment for the tax stamp on a gun
You'll need to reword that, I don't understand what you're saying.
He means a demilled mortar. By drilling a hole the size of the bore in it you can no longer use it. And no, you do not need an explosives licence for a mortar, only explosive ammunition. The mortar is a DD
If the hughes and NFA ever get properly dealt with, first thing I'd do is buy an MG-42 parts kit and register it.
Yes. Definitely yes. [editline]3rd February 2013[/editline] 'Course the first thing that would happen would be that the market would BLOW through all of the surplus out there, what with all of the new machine-gun owners going nuts with their new toys :v:
Yes. Definitely yes. THAT'S what we should do. Let's get into the ammo-making business :v: It's a hell of a lot cheaper than making replicas of guns, and we could use it as a spring-pad for that
If the hughes and NFA ever get properly dealt with, first thing I'd do is buy an MG-42 parts kit and register it.
Kick the GCA out too and import em from Canada. I want a $500 PPSh. :v: Spend all year loading/gathering up high quality cartridges for a days shooting though, bad things happen when you run surplus 7.92 cartridges through an MG42 or 34.
Yes. Definitely yes. What I'd love to see most is imports from the Middle East and Africa, even if they charge an arm and a leg for each gun, would be a seller's market for those guys with all the American importers buying up their stuff, they could probably get away with charging a hell of a lot more than what they'd sell the gun for locally.
oh man imagine if we got rid of the import ban on Russian arms at the same time as getting rid of the NFA and '86 ban. Oh man oh god oh man oh god.
oh man imagine if we got rid of the import ban on Russian arms at the same time as getting rid of the NFA and '86 ban. Oh man oh god oh man oh god.
getting rid of the NFA would be removing all firearms legislation, including the import restriction on non-sporting arms. There would be no legal definition of firearm without it
then just remove the 86 ban, I don't really care I just want to buy an automatic that doesn't cost me 10 grand or 10 years in jail.
So the Mosin didn't have much cosmo, and hot water took care of what cosmo it did have on the small parts, but I found out something even better, the bayonet is stamped matched with the gun, and IT FITS!
then just remove the 86 ban, I don't really care I just want to buy an automatic that doesn't cost me 10 grand or 10 years in jail.
I'd rather the NFA gone, personally
Should tag an amendment to repeal the NFA onto every bill that goes into congress from here on out. If the gun grabbers can do it so can we. :v:
Should tag an amendment to repeal the NFA onto every bill that goes into congress from here on out. If the gun grabbers can do it so can we. :v:
You mean like putting an NFA repenlment amendment in every bill, even those that have nothing to do with guns? :v:
You mean like putting an NFA repenlment amendment in every bill, even those that have nothing to do with guns? :v:
yes. that's how the grabbers have gotten a lot of things through
You mean like putting an NFA repenlment amendment in every bill, even those that have nothing to do with guns? :v:
Yeah, it's pretty much what they do. Like the NDAA for example where they pinned the Defense budget on it so if the NDAA wasn't passed there would be no paycheck for the entire US military. You can find bills with riders on em to make it more attractive to vote for as well. There's laws in the US spread across different bills too, so it's like "BY YOUR AMENDMENTS COMBINED, I AM THE LAW!". I think SOPA had a rider too didn't it? Had something to do with child abuse or something, so if you voted against it you clearly hated children.
Stick it in the next NDAA or budget bill. Lord knows they don't read em.
I've decided that if I ever get an FNC I'm just gonna splurge and get the fun switch. They're not even that much more than the semi-onlys
Can anybody give me a quick list of names to look for , or who to avoid(companies) for AR's? A friend of mine found one from Olympic Arms and it's 700~ 7076 T2 upper and lower. 16'' 414 crhome chromoly flat top reciever Picatiny gas block
my range trip got rescheduled for next saturday :C should hopefully be a bit warmer though!
my range trip got rescheduled for next saturday :C should hopefully be a bit warmer though!
Bah. It was beautiful today!
Bah. It was beautiful today!
you're beautiful, jerkwad
you're beautiful, jerkwad
Shut up, baby. I know it!

Anyone know where 8mm Mauser can be had at a reasonable price?
That should be illegal. It's pretty much lying
There was a "One Subject at a Time Act" that was introduced last year but I'm not sure what happened to it. Probably got struck down because the bastards like their loopholes. That's about the time I'd start getting Vermin Supreme to come up with riders for me.
Anyone know where 8mm Mauser can be had at a reasonable price?
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA That's a good one.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/V2HFLaR.jpg[/thumb] I got a kicking rad deal on ammo today with my dad. We got (some given to us, some bought, and some we were given to deliver to other people) over 2000 rounds of .223, 2000 rounds of .303 (on stripper clips in bandoliers and some in tins), a sealed crate of around 500 7.62x39, 1500 rounds of M1 Carbine ammunition (along with a 30 and two 15 round magazines) on stripper clips with guides, some assorted shotgun ammo, 7 vintage scopes, probably 20 assorted mini-14, AK, and M14 mags, a mint condition Hi-Power stock, and probably another 1500 rounds of assorted pistol calibers from .38-.45, and another 1000 rounds of oddball ammo like .25 auto and .32 Remington. I would post pictures but I don't think I'm the only one who doesn't feel comfortable doing so, like firearms.
I'm off to kill my national emblem tomorrow, Skippy. Should be delicious
