I don't even own a 30-06, and I would've bought that.

Personally i don't think the guns are the problem, but the mentally ill getting their hands on them.
So, I was thinking about buying an FNP-45T, because 15+1 .45ACP is, HNNNNNNG. Anyway, started looking on gunbroker this morning.
$1,795.00
$1,950.00
$1,899.00
Lolnope.
How are Rock Island Armory's compact 1911's? Theres a guy in my area that has one that supposedly doesn't have many rounds through it for 500$. Debating on making him an offer, but I've never shot a Rock Island Armory 1911.

They are excellent for the money. I've personally shot one, and they are easily comparable to the Springfield Ultra Compact, Colt Defender, and Kimber Ultra Carry. With that being said, RIA has always been an amazing value.
Compact 1911's are for the gays though
5 inch or go home

RIA makes sweet pistols though

theres a pic of it. Really debating on making him an offer.
RIAs are p. nice actually. They're built to GI spec so you've got a sweet inexpensive 1911 that can take any and all aftermarket parts

Regardless of quality, I wouldn't pay more than $450 for a used one. Anything more and it isn't worth it.

I did my CHP qualification with a Springfield Ultra Compact. I shot a 2" group.

The problem isn't the armed people, it's the unarmed people. I can damn well guarantee that nobody would ever get robbed/raped/murdered if all the potential victims had a pistol at their hip.
Now, walk up to the range be like what up i got a big glock.
Sorry, just pumped up by some shit I saw in the gunshop.

absolutely. But people think the opposite because of the wild west fallacy.

yeah I'm gonna make him an offer when I get back in town later.

The West wasn't as wild as people think, spaghetti westerns really embellished that life.

At it's worst, Deadwood, the deadliest town in the whole west, only had 12 murders that year.
[editline]6th February 2013[/editline]
And the O.K. Corral, where only 3 men died, was considered a bloodbath in Tombstone. And on top of that it was relatively unknown until 1931

lol and that time magazine quote is completely true
it doesnt even make me mad, its just so blatantly wrong its funny
How do you even make a mistake like that. All it takes is basic logic, you don't even need much in the way of actual gun knowledge to know that a 600 round magazine is a preposterous idea.

people always fail to take into account the lack of modern infrastructure in the old west too. Telephones, internet, widespread electricity, running water...ect.
