That's called projection, and exposing that is one of the ways to discredit their argument, though it also discredits the "everyone should have a gun" argument.

I'm not sure his mind is complex enough to acknowledge his argument being discredited.

That Derek kid... would not sell gun to him, to fucking suspicious.
Oh and just as another argument if someone pulls a "It says Militia have right to bear arms, no individual" tell em, "Okay then you are absolutely right! Now just let us citizens form Federally Recognized Militias with a min. number of people, and then let us buy what ever motherfucking guns I/We, the militia, want."

We gave him the "everyone in our state age 16+ is militia" argument.
As well as completely discredit him, which he did not recognize.
I would not let him near one if he wanted one, by the way.
Personally I think the best arguments against gun control are Chicago and New York. But that's just me. If someone goes, "Gun Control isn't perfect, but it's a good start." Go, "No, a good start is Reforming the American Education System and Reforming Healthcare and especially Mental Healthcare." And see if they don't at least become less crazy.
buying a tokarev TTC tomorrow. Should be here in a few days and I'll definitely post pics. Any idea where I can get ammo?
AIMSurplus probably has some.
I found some 7.62x25 under the cardboard bottom of a box I got some ammo in.. oh well, I guess I have to get a TT-33 now to dispose of it with

Theres not a lot left, but J&G has some corrosive surplus from the 1950's.
I'm glad I got 1000+ rounds of .223 for my birthday before all this shit hit the fan, a box or two of .223 now costs more than it does to top off my car.
Fuck the crazy assholes that did this TO MEEEE
no more .22LR in GA :(
Holy shit you can have ammo shipped!
anyone know a good webite?
oh my local GS wants $310 for a 10/22.
walmart wont custom order me one.
Should I pony up the $$ or keep looking?
WHERE IS ALL OF THE FUCKING 22 AMMO
caps
I'd highly advise during this period of time that you all start picking up the hobby of reloading.
Apparently the nation-wide ammo shortage is backlogging several stores, and from what I've heard, Bass Pro Shops is backlogged for at the least three to four months.
i dont have the tools :(

yes you can have it shipped but quite a few website require you to be 21 (if they ask for a license just ask a parent or a friend), I always order from aimsurplus.com , but as of now they're almost completely sold out.
Wait on buying the 10/22, when this all calms down in march-may they'll be back to their 200-250$ price range.

10/22's are cool but not $300+ cool
I'm personally waiting on all this to calm down so I can get a PSL. Right now they're going for 1500$+.
Personally I think the best arguments against gun control are Chicago and New York.
Yeah, but not for the reasons people seem to claim. IMO Chicago and New York don't demonstrate that gun control doesn't work at all, since there are significant counter-examples (such as Australia) that would suggest otherwise. What Chicago and New York demonstrate is that gun control doesn't work if criminals still have ready access to firearms across a nearby border or with already rampant ownership.
I fear in generations guns won't be banned, but the cost of owning them will be outrageous. (future politics) Insurance(based on the firearm), insurance (based on the kind of bullet), the annual cost of owning the firearm, the cost of buying bullets.
In regards to having insurance for my firearm, there's something wrong about that. Insurance is protection for me, not the persons "compensation". If someone wrecks(they're driving) my car(steals my gun), and injures another car or person, my insurance wouldn't cover that. Anyone else know of a better way to describe why putting the need for insurance on a firearm unnecessary, but also irregular?
Goddamnit you guys are making me want to panic and run down to my nearest WallyWorld to stock up on .22LR
Of all fucking things.

However, Australia did suffer an increase in other crime even after guns were taken out of the equation. So yes, they cut the gun crime, but not crime entirely.
50$ for 150. Brass cased, boxer primed.

Wow that Walmart has a tiny display case. Ours is like 5 times that size.
Also, that small white sign is identical to the one we have on our cases. Stupid 3 box limits.
I hope I can get a 10/22 Takedown and a few BX-25s in a few months.

There is nothing to suggest Australia is a good example of gun control working.
If you want I'll dig up the studies
I've never seen a gun in my life.

One argument I personally haven't seen widely used is drunk driving.
In the U.S., 10,839 people died in 2011 due to drunk driving incidents. In the same year, there were a total of 8,583 firearm related deaths. Other than an age restriction for purchase, alcohol is completely unregulated in the United States, and is the cause of MORE deaths every year than firearms are. This doesn't even take into account the amount of firearm related deaths that were a result of alcohol consumption as well.

I think I'm going to go Walmart hopping this Saturday.
On that note, so far I have bought:
200 rounds of .223 55g FMJ - $80 (I can't remember the brand off the top of my head. I got them from a co-worker out of Texas.)
200 rounds of Federal HST .45ACP 230gr +P - $140
250 rounds of Federal HST 9mm 124gr +P - $195
Currently bidding on 1000 rounds of 230gr .45ACP JHP for reloading.
