Man, I want a whole bunch of clear plastic ammo cases. I really like seeing those reloading benches with fresh loaded ammo sitting everywhere.
I wish I had enough guns so reloading would be worth it.
So, Walmart has a bunch of Privi Partizan .40S&W in both FMJ and Hollow Point... I bought five boxes of each @ ~$16 a pop. The HP's look really good, defense wise.

Picture isn't as clear as I had hoped, I'll take another later.
Went by my Walmart today. Only thing in stock was 204 Ruger, .30-06 and .45 Colt :suicide:
Went yesterday and they were low on 7.62x39 and .223
Nobody goes to wal mart for ammo here
all my walmarts have been out of everything besides 30-06 and any fudd caliber you can think of
[editline]8th February 2013[/editline]
all though ive been seeing this new brass tul ammo and they had some boxes of that in .40
My Walmart has a sign that says:
OUT:
.22LR - .223
.380 - .308
9mm - .30-06
.40 - 7.62x39
.45 - .22-250
.30-30 - 7mm Rem
.38/.357 - .44 Mag
They cover up the ones when they are in stock, because they are out of stock of all those more often than they have them.
They had CASES AND CASES of .22Mag though - The nice Hornady Ballistic Tip stuff, too!
I was at walmart today. Ammo case has many missing spots, but there's a bunch of .380 and silly things like that.

Why does Wal-mart never sell 5.7?
I was thinking of a AR type platform in 30-06. Reading about the ballistics, though, it seems that the 30-06 is essentially a less accurate 308.
True?

ought six moves like 300fps faster iirc?l
shooting 180gr .308, you're running 800 m/s, wheras the .30-06 180gr Core-lokt runs at 820m/s. I use both for hunting, and both are phenomenal. I'd use the .30-06 more for longer distances than the .308, because of a lower drop-off due to the added 20m/s muzzle velocity. They both impart about the same muzzle energy, though.
EDIT: Also, a MOA drop-off chart for .300 Win Mag, .308 Win, and .30-06 Springfield from 0 to 1000 yards: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1c/30calCOMPAREdropMOA.png

Finally got my little 10/22 to look like what I wanted. It doesn't look too terrible does it?
Also am I right in the understanding that HR226 is dead for now at least?
Im jealous! how much did you pay!?

Had no clue 300 win mag had quite that long of an effective range.
I want something chambered in a higher caliber, but I haven't decided if I want to do any hunting. I like shooting, but it sometimes seems like I'm wasting my money on the larger calibers to plink.
I posted this picture a long ass time ago but I love it so much I'm posting it again.

What do you guys think/know about the 6.5 Creedmoor? I'm new to the 6.5 world, curious about it.
I would personally go for the 6.5 Grendel.
