The Enfield bolt is cock on close, which is why it shoots back if you turn up the handle when it's cocked. However it does sound like it's not locking correctly. Pictures or a video would help. But I'd also recommend taking it in and having it checked by a gunsmith.
Hopefully it's just a buildup of crud inside the bolt preventing it from fully compressing, that would be easy to fix and not all that uncommon.

I got mine at aimsurplus when it was still 60$ a can and they still had it instock. It'll be a while before I need to order anymore though.

On the nugget ammo subject, I can only find that sportsmans guide is the only place that sells 440rd tins and doesn't require that you be 21, however the 440rd tins are temporarily unavailable, but the 880rd crates arent. J&G and chestnut ridge both have 440rd tins available for ~80 bux, but they both require a signature of someone older than 21, and they never deliver around here when my parents are around.

Aimsurplus just wants a photo copy of your license (over 21) on your account when you order, they don't require a signature at the door, or at least they don't ask for it in south Georgia. Cost about $1K total with a box of 25 holopoints and a cleaning kit.
It's the .40cal version with night sights.
Got the laser sighted in, can just fire from the hip and hit everything you point the laser at.
Really nice, came with three magazines that hold 14 rounds each, it's ambidextrous too.
Feels better (to me) than the Glock 23 or 22, and I like it way more than any XD I've fired, probably because the slide comes back further on the FNX, making it feel like it has less recoil.
Just my opinion though, burned about 300 rounds in an hour, never jammed up once.
Sure did get dirty though.
