So lonely up here in the Democratic People's Republic of New England.
Move somewhere better. Like Virginia. Or Georgia.
Lets talk about guns again I know like 2 of you have AK 74's, I'm trying to get a Bulgarian made as I hear they're the tits but I'd love an Arsenal. But since Nodak won't have receivers for forever and that's actually sparked my interest for AR's but I don't know shit about modern ones What are good complete AR's? [editline]21st February 2013[/editline] Okay I know some stuff but I don't know a lot
I live in TN/KY (Ft. Campbell, so think Clarksville TN). Tennessee is the patron state of shooting things. I love it.
I'm not entirely sure how to word this without sounding like an incredibly horrible person, but is anyone else going to "laugh" if these EOs or whatever else ever manage to pass, and then someone commits a shooting with the arbitrarily not banned items?
So uh, pretty much exactly what happened at Columbine and Virginia Tech?

[editline]21st February 2013[/editline] Okay I know some stuff but I don't know a lot
Colt! Colt! Colt! I got my 6920 way before the bullshit. Mine came from the last shipment before the panic buying. Colt is a lot slower to re-supply rifles than the other manufactures, and the quantity they ship is a lot less. When I was looking for mine I had it on back-order notification for nearly six months. I had been looking at all the local gun shows/shops/websites, but I never saw a new one. I saw a bunch of 6720s, but for some reason the 6920 was a fabled creature. Needless to say, I gave up on it and bought a Bushmaster. A week later, Buds sent me an email saying the 6920 was back in stock. I was pissed! Luckily, I got every dime back that I spent on the Bushmaster, and was able to pick up the 6920. Everything else is history. The LE6920 from Colt is a (pardon the pun) pure workhorse. I'd say it's the basis by which the current generation of ARs should be judged. It's a no-nonsense AR, has everything you need right out of the box, and is fully capable of accepting any available AR upgrades/mods available on the market. It's typically very reasonably priced as well. A good price for one is around $1150. There are only two things that I feel are downside's to the 6920, and neither have to do with the function of the rifle. First, Colt only supplies two 20-round mags. They are great mags, but the choice of 20-round mags over 30 is kind of stupid in my eyes. Second, current 6920s are shipped with the Roger's Super-Stoc. The stock looks similar to Magpul stocks, but it has a cam lock on it. The point is, once you get the stock in the position you want it in you engage the cam lock. The cam lock tightens the stock on the buffer tube, removing any wobble. This sounds like a great feature, and it actually works, but the whole cam lock thing is more complicated than it needs to be. Manufacturers have been making stocks with zero wobble for years, and they don't use cam locks or any mechanisms of the sort. It's just an extra piece on the stock that can break. If you don't want wobble, make a better fitting stock, not an extra mechanism.

Friend of mine's left handed, while on the range he did that once, after 60 rounds brass is red hot, its not pretty.
I have way too many cool toys to show you if this ever happens lets do it also wow i cannot believe i still dont have my LTATT after two months of waiting (ye i know about that case in the courts)
Where'd you join up to to get the LTATT?

I'm gonna be that guy.....It's ambidextrous, switch ejection ports!
Friend of mine's left handed, while on the range he did that once, after 60 rounds brass is red hot, its not pretty.
I've done it, and it's super annoying, in all honesty. Even my 760 gets on my nerves if I shoot it too fast and the brass decides to fling back instead of to the side. (.30-06s are nice and toasty after a few rounds)
Where'd you join up to to get the LTATT?
Silverdale!
I'm gonna be that guy.....It's ambidextrous, switch ejection ports!
I think the dood was tryin to prove a point on bullpups for left handers in general, not just the AUG.
It's from a video about the advantages and disadvantages of bullpups. He's right handed. [editline]21st February 2013[/editline] Besides that switching it around every time you have to do offhand shooting is idiotic
How long do you think Colt will make the 6920's? I kinda want one but it would be about a year before I was able to buy one.
Here is my current gun rack: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/lbyIjR9.jpg[/thumb] From the top: SXS shotgun from the 1800s (leather butt pad!), M91 Mosin Nagant made in 1924 with a hex receiver, Lee Enfield No. 4 marked "US PROPERTY" made in 1942, and a Lee Enfield No. 1 made in 1918. See that ugly bastard on the bottom? I am seriously thinking of making it an Obrez. No iron sights, non-original cut stock, cut barrel, cut everything pretty much. Obrez y/n
Have fun waiting for the ATF, but do it any way.
Goddamnit, cowboy shooting is way too cool a sport to be so expensive. It's depressing.
If you can get through the ATF, go ahead and finish butchering it.
Goddamnit, cowboy shooting is way too cool a sport to be so expensive. It's depressing.
Is it expensive because of the ammo and the guns? or is there and entry fee or something?
So Gunpunch, I have a quandary. Someone is willing to sell a mosin nagant to me in the $120-140 range, first chance to buy them I've seen in town. So I'm going for it. He has three types he's selling, and I'm not 100% sure on which type. M44, M38, or M91/30 This would be my first nagant purchase.

M38's are tougher to find but I think M44's are nicer IMO (plus a flip out bayonet!). With that said, you really can't go wrong with an M91/30 either. If he lets you choose from the 3, get the M44. If not, just take what you get, you'll be getting a really nice rifle either way. On the topic of M38's, classicfirearms has M38's in stock for 220$.
I've stalked you a couple of times. Looks like my cover has been blown...
I just recognize his avatar from a few places. also, sportsmans guide got some more 440rd tins of surplus mosin fuel in stock. I got one on it's way.
