Yep, just plain 00 steel wool. I throw on a little WD-40 to keep the surface clean and help remove the loose rust.
I just used a wire brush on mine
It's a mosin. You could remove the rust by using a sandblaster filled with tiny tiamonds and it would probably still work.

So there's a place selling Sig P226Rs in any of .40, 9, or .357 with a .22 conversion kit, 1 centrefire mag, and 2 .22 mags for ~$1100. They have 2 options, one with and one without a beaver tail, but they only list the beaver tail as having the SRT, though I haven't called to check about the other. Does this seem like a good deal y/n? Planning on getting a 9 if I do.
Just to clear something up between a friend and I, it's perfectly acceptable to use 0000 steel wool and lube to clean a bit of surface rust that's formed off of my Mosin bolt and to generally polish up the bolt and make it shine again? The darker spots on the bolt cocking piece have formed a bit of rust since I took this picture somehow (even in dry ass Arizona).
It won't hurt it but you're better off with a brass brush
picked up an SKS this morning, how do I get the firing pin retaining pin out?
Got two brand new mint VZ magazines :D [t]http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y505/Jager242/IMG_20130223_164051_zps2d21f371.jpg[/t] [t]http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y505/Jager242/IMG_20130223_170100_zps586c4899.jpg[/t] muh mags [t]http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y505/Jager242/IMG_20130223_170805_zpscedcfc8a.jpg[/t] [editline]23rd February 2013[/editline]
ASSAULT BIPODS WITH EXTRA LARGE AK CLIPAZINES CHAMBERED IN 6.7MM LEAD
credit to me showing you how the mount works and preventing you from acidentally buying a picatiny rail bipod :V
Tonight i shot an 8mm mauser and a 12 gauge shotgun, very fun.

Are Vz.58 mags compatible with 7.62 AKs and vise-versa, or no?

I kinda want one of those VZ. 24's Only $300 off classic firearms
don't those 24 kits have torched up receivers?

So does ANYONE make 10mm target ammo or am I going to have to buy a .40 lone wolf barrel for my future Glock 20 and shoot .40 out of it? I'd prefer not to do that as I want to get used to the 10mm kick as much as possible. Cause I just want to be able to buy 2 boxes of this stuff ( in 10mm ) http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/2-WNUSA40SWVPBX and call it a day but Winchester doesn't have it in 10mm auto.
if you're shooting 10mm you should probably just handload [editline]23rd February 2013[/editline] you don't want white box anyway, that shit runs dirty
Another gun debate flaring up in SH, with the same stonewalls of ignorance, intolerance, and slander being erected.
Just got my box o mosin surplus and went out shooting. 33 rounds and the first cleaning patch through came out black as africans.
Another gun debate flaring up in SH, with the same stonewalls of ignorance, intolerance, and slander being erected.
hey man, you're just a gun zealot whose hobby kills school children

And I don't have time to handload with me getting into highschool and then the Marines in 2 years.
no trust me, you want to handload. there's no such thing as cheap 10mm
no trust me, you want to handload. there's no such thing as cheap 10mm
Well, I guess I'll just get some hotter .40 target rounds and get a .40 barrel and call it a day. I seriously have no time for hand loading and I'm not gonna make someone else do it for me.
glock 20 has a different frame than the 22, don't quote me on this but I don't think it's as simple as getting a .40 barrel [editline]23rd February 2013[/editline] handloading doesn't take very long btw, a progressive press and a little practice will yield you easily 1000 rounds for an hour of work
I would greentext this but I think it may be bannable. Do you know what industrial diamonds are?
I completely skipped over this but yes I do, I went for the shitty comedy hurr option

I see tonnes of the shit whenever I go to Cabela's or any other gun store.
