Also the bayonet fits so well on my Mosin that I was able to put it on one relay then take it off the next with 1 hand. This has got to have been the best trade ever, especially considering the Arisaka I traded for this Mosin barely functioned.
I only find hunting to be fun when I go out for a week with nothing more than what I can carry, then radio for pickup when I run out of supplies or get something. :v:
Lot more to that than just bashing around in the forest on an ATV until you run over a deer or sitting in a half assed tent for hours and hours like some weekend sniper.
I've been hunting with my family now for about seven years or so. Hence one reason why when people bring up 9mm vs .45 I simply tell them they're being insane; in that when you're shooting it at a living target, statistics and variations go out the window. At the end of the day, if the bullet kills the target, it's all that matters and both do it equally well as history has shown. (As well as other debates such as -06 vs .308 for hunters and 5.56 vs 7.62 for babykillers; just using 9mm and .45 to really show there is no quintessential difference when in a jam.)
The fact that you can own AKs and full auto makes me sad, I need to make myself feel better somehow...
yeah good luck finding a decent full auto for under 10 grand. I personally would trade off full autos if we could get super cheap norinco shit and Russian shit like you do.
Don't MAC-10/11's go for something like $5k or so?
probably twice that since the market went full retard since December. Even if you get the cash for it you still need to throw money at the ATF and local sherrifs until they let you own one.
So I go out to range today with Vintovka Mosina for first time, and find rifle can hit narrowest side of barn across Volga river, now is worth whole 3 potato!
But seriously, the Mosin was astoundingly accurate with absolutely no adjustments needed, and anyone who complains about recoil or cycling the action is a weak pussy, that thing kicks less than a .303.
Hmm, seem to be missing something, something Russian that starts with an S...
I also went out to the range today!
I had a really hard time getting the PU scope on my Mosin to function properly as zeroing it was complete hell. I ended up using the ironsights for most of it. It kicks pretty well but really it seems just as much as a .308.
However the best part of my range day today was my brand-spanking-new VZ58. I swear I must have ran at least 150 or 200 rounds through it today and it was just completely awesome. I definitely feel like I might want an AR to compliment it at some point but I really dislike how the AR is restricted by name so I might have to wait on that (my ATT has already taken two months to process).
Which range you headed to? Next range day I'll be sporting a brand new SVT-40 with 880 rounds of 7.62x54R and I'm going to have a field day with that and my Mosin Nagant. I'll probably skip the 50m range and go do the 100m once I've got settled in with the gun and then I'll have lots of fun.
just saw an old friend post a pic of him on facebook with an AKM, looked like a WASR from the wood. now this kid is pretty ghetto now "smoke weed every day, ride or die" type retard now. i was playing off the benefit of the doubt and commented "hey man nice AK, what is it?" and he said "lol its an ak dog i dunno!! it just goes POP!"
jesus christ
Got a new gun wagon yesterday!

Yeah, that or how the gun is put together. Some idiots got pissed at me because I hunted with a Mauser using the iron sights. Apparently scopes are a requirement for good shooting.
Been shooting that Mauser for a long time now, I know how that thing shoots better than most of my guns.
Too many shooters out there spend months or years messing with a rifle, trying out different bullets, scopes, stocks, voodoo magic to make the barrel harmonize better, never willing to accept that it's not the gun that has a problem. Reminds me of this bit from True Grit:
LeBoeuf: The Sharp's carbine is an instrument of uncanny power and precision.
Rooster Cogburn: I have no doubt that the gun is sound.
Really, doesn't matter what you're carrying, unless you put the bullet through something vital it's not gonna do much right away, which is the whole point if you're hunting anyway. Seen more than few deer with battle scars through their soft parts. Best one was a buck that had a round put through his butt cheeks at some point. :v:
I've discovered today that my SKS is far more accurate than my M38 and that the M38 shoots way better (maybe just my imagination? I was way more accurate, comparing that and the Wolf stuff I ususally use on seperate targets) with the Russian surplus stuff.
I felt really bad that I almost hit a dude in the face with my brass that ejects with the might of Serbia on accident, seriously this extractor launches all my brass to the damn moon
I get scoffed at when I head to the range and start shooting at 200m with irons using my mosin. It's not wonderfully accurate, but I can put the shots in a 6" circle on a good day. I get called lucky a lot.
I've honestly never really shot much with irons besides handguns and a few times with an AR for shits-n-giggles at a target no more than fifty yards away. I have a terrible time focusing with irons on rifles because I don't use them that much, though.
I had the misfortune of being to the right of a guy shooting an AR at the range last time I was there. I kept getting hit in the side of the face with brass until I asked him if he would switch places with me. That AR of his was throwing brass straight out a 90 degree angle with the gun every time.
My SKS literally shoots brass at Serbia. It's trying to fly home.

Motherfucker, you've bought far too many guns since you last told us. Family photo, now!
Also, it's a private range that doesn't like advertising.

Yeah, once I get my K98 back from Flaherty's I'll be able to take one. I had to ship it away because the rifle had a real problem with me taking the front barrel band off (as in it just will not move) so I had no choice but to give it to a gunsmith to fix. Figures that Flaherty's has a part-time gunsmith so it'll take way too long to do. At least now I know that if I ever want a full-time job they're probably looking for a gunsmith.
If the range is any good then I bet they would love some more business ;)

I'm not trying to sound like an asshole, but my range literally isn't concerned about business. I'm also actually looking for another range to join up with since my current one has a strict shooting schedule, you're not allowed to just come and go.

Ah bollocks to that then. We should still get an Ontario range day going.
I need to start scrounging up 7.62x39, I've only got 60 rounds left
Oh shit that reminds me, I still have no idea where my box went
Fuck im talking to my dorm tomorrow
Oh shit that reminds me, I still have no idea where my box went

Do it, that was super retarded
I've only got 240 rounds of 7.62x39 ammo left, this is bad day!
So, I am in the market for a G43. I sold my Saiga 12. I did not want to sell it but I have not shot it in forever and I sold it for much more than what I bought it for. Once I sell another firearm I will be picking up a G43.
Already have one I am interested in. I just hope he still has it for sale when I have the cash on hand.
I'm not really a shotgun person but like every other person who plays a lot of FPS's, I want a SPAS 12
I'm not really a shotgun person but like every other person who plays a lot of FPS's, I want a SPAS 12
I want a KSG, I didn't know it was in Black Ops 2 until last week though.

hi I've handled a spas 12
you don't want one, they're 9 lbs unloaded
I know they have a ton of issues and are super heavy
But it's so cool looking. It's like the most badass looking shotgun. And I'm just dumb enough to buy a gun on looks
You'd buy one for the same reason you'd buy a mateba, because they're soooo cooool

Hey raptor, make an assault musket
Wouldnt it already be an assault musket because it has a bayonet?
Also where's the removable 200000 round clip!
Isn't there some wired shit in the US with the SPAS being a DD or some shit?
Isn't there some wired shit in the US with the SPAS being a DD or some shit?
iirc, the semi-auto version is.
Wait we don't get "select fire" SPAS 12's?
false, all false. spas-12 is not a DD. it probably would have been if they hadn't called it "sporting purpose automatic shotgun" when pitching it to the batfe
