Where did i state that meme permabans are pointless? i meant to say that people get permabanned for much smaller reasons than abuse of moderation power, and that the person who stated TH89 deserved to be stripped of moderator status instead of be permabanned was wrong.

He was a horrible admin that had no place on these forums. I don't even care about the banning spree, hell I find it to be a humorous event for a change.
However, I just can't agree with his tendency to swing about the ban hammer. He used it too often, and I think he had a tendency to ban people who really didn't deserve it.
People who break the rules should be banned, that's how every internet community has worked. However I believe Admins/Moderators should not take the rules as seriously as they do, and I think this applies directly to TH89. I think he takes every opportunity he can to ban someone.
Whether someone mentions the word "nigger" or a 10er make a semi-inadequate post he brings down the ban hammer with the only justification being "shit-post", no warning, no thought. To me, that is entirely inappropriate.
I think I could tolerate him as a user, but not as a moderator.
