Anyways, back to the Bloop and the Slow Down... doesn't it make you wonder what is down there? I mean, we know more about space then we know about the bottom of our own ocean's...
Okay, maybe there aren't huge sea serpents or huge squid's... but still..
The Kraken and Leviathan are stories of giant sea monsters claiming the lives of sailors and their ships, right? Shiiiit...
The bottom of the ocean scares me shitless. Whatever's down there can survive the harshest of conditions and it comes up, we're doomed.

Actually, if something has adapted to extreme pressure and it surfaces it will most likely die.
Actually, if something has adapted to extreme pressure and it surfaces it will most likely die.
Aaah, you're right. Now I can sleep at night without the fear of the Kraken...
Actually, have there ever been any documented accounts of encounters with these creatures or is it all myth?

Shroud of Turin
The shroud of Turin is a linen cloth bearing the image of a man who had apparently died of crucifixion. Most Catholics consider it to be the burial shroud of Jesus Christ. It is currently held in the Cathedral of St John the Baptist in Turin, Italy. Despite many scientific investigations, no one has yet been able to explain how the image has been imprinted on the shroud and despite many attempts, no one has managed to replicate it. Radiocarbon tests date it to the middle ages, however apologists for the shroud believe it is incorrupt – and carbon dating can only date things which decay.
Not true anymore, the shroud is a proven fake. They recreated it using technology available at that time.
It's actually a "bloggified" version of a short story called "The Fear Of Darkness" by Thomas Lera.
You can read it here. This one actually has a proper ending.
The Bell is said to be an experiment carried out by Third Reich scientists working for the SS in a German facility known as Der Riese ("The Giant") near the Wenceslaus mine. The mine is located 50 kilometers away from Breslau a little north of the village of Ludwikowice Kłodzkie (formerly known as Ludwigsdorf) close to the Czech border. Cook and Witkowski visited the site for the UK Channel 4 documentary UFOs: the Hidden Evidence (aka An Alien History of Planet Earth).
The device is described as metallic, approximately 9 feet wide and 12 to 15 feet high with a shape similar to a bell. It contained two counter-rotating cylinders filled with a substance similar to Mercury that glowed violet when activated, known only as Xerum 525 it has been speculated to be Red mercury. When active, The Bell would emit strong radiation, which led to the death of several scientists and various plant and animal test subjects.
According to Igor Witkowski, the Polish aerospace historian who researched this craft for 20 years and was interviewed for the Discovery Channel documentary Nazi UFO Conspiracy, "...The external appearance... was such that it was ceramic cover, bell shaped, which housed a kind of core or axis, around which rotated two cylinders, around the axis in opposite rotation. And after connecting to high-voltage current, the cylinders start spinning in opposite directions... Everything suggests.. it could have been a way to master gravity
I remember watching something on the Discovery channel about a bell shaped, Nazi UFO. Was pretty interesting.
Die Glocke was an experimental Nazi torison field generator. Extremely interesting. I read a book relating to the subject.

Why does Wikipedia never have anything in Layman's terms?
Also, this is basically the string theory of paranormal activity.

I ride past the same plant very often, being I live in Crescent, OK.
Die Glocke was thought to be the explanation of many UFO sightnings over Europe during WWII.
"Nazis form the moon"?
Tunguska Event anyone?
Hey guys, anybody heard of the Bunny Man?
These are really interesting.
Well, my time lurking Something Awful gave me a story or two. My memory isn't what it was, but oh well. First of all, a ghost story. I dunno. I remember seeing a thread about strange audio recordings, and saw something about an asylum or something. A boy was saying something like "I can't breathe." an adult voice says "I couldn't breathe" again, he says "I can't breathe." Another adult says "I couldn't breathe." It goes on like this. But guess what: The room was empty.
The next includes a family on Christmas. The children want to play with their toys all day, and at night, still want to. Some of the older ones stay in and sleep with their parents. The mom heard scratching on the roof, and a scream I think. An older kid came in screaming about the young ones being gone. I forget the rest, but they were never found.
How has nobody posted the Bermuda triangle?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bermuda_Triangle
The Dyatlov Pass incident refers to an event that resulted in the deaths of nine ski hikers in the northern Ural mountains on the night of February 2, 1959. It happened on the east shoulder of the mountain Kholat Syakhl(a Mansi name, meaning Mountain of the Dead). The mountain pass where the incident occurred has since been named Dyatlov Pass after the group's leader, Igor Dyatlov.
The lack of eyewitnesses and subsequent investigations into the hikers' deaths have inspired much speculation. Investigators determined that the hikers tore open their tent from within, departing barefoot in heavy snow. Though the corpses showed no signs of struggle, two victims had fractured skulls, two had broken ribs, and one was missing her tongue. According to sources, four of the victims' clothing contained high levels of radiation—though no mention of this fact made of it in contemporary documentation, and only appears in later documents. Soviet investigators determined only that "a compelling unknown force" had caused the deaths. Access to the area was barred for three years after the incident. The chronology of the incident remains unclear due to the lack of survivors.

I bet they were really soviet spies that were going to a secret underground nuclear silo but there was and accident and they fell.
One of them hit his head, one of them hit his ribcage, and the lady accidentally bit her tongue off.
When they were found alive, the KGB murdered them to keep the nuclear silo secret
That Cave story is an interesting read, even if he never really finished it... it makes you wonder, what happened to this 'Ted'? Last time he update it, it was in '01...

The Tunguska Event was a meteor explosion.

They camped in a test area for nukes and there was a test.
Oh and the Russians did it during a snow storm so no one saw the explosion and the snow covered the ground.
And they replanted the tree and plants.
