Why the fuck wont the vimeo embed work?
Looks great in my opinion. I like the music.
Maybe you should add that The Silence (really well modeled/sculpted by the way) is a character from Doctor Who?
You're probably right, I initially had "Dr Who: The Silence" but then it looked like I had acually worked on it... maybe a "Personal work: The Silence (Dr Who)" would be best.
Also the music is by Tycho, check them out. They're on grooveshark.

Get rid of the "s" in "https://vimeo.com/42612680" ---> "http://vimeo.com/42612680"
Pretty cool reel by the way, I like it.

Just a quick test I made with no real experience with cinema 4d and realflow, took me like 20 minutes to make but like 75 minutes to render
In the first clip you can see it's prefractured already before hitting the ground. Is there an option to fracture it on collision only?
I wanted it to look like this because of the light shining through the cracks.
As clb said, the only way is to cover the fractured object with the original object.
It's all prefractured
An old house I modeled. One of my first 3D models.

Boy, I need to start modeling again. I sure miss it.
EDIT: I did not model the tree.

1500 samples, downscaled from 1680x1050 and denoised, still 1500 were not enough :/

WIP of my first (REAL) human body, other attempts were just there for reference and not really supposed to be very accurate. I'm trying to make this look good enough as a base so I can take it to ZBrush and practice some sculpting.

That's amazing, looks like something you would see in a disney movie.
Please smash it up with DMM or similar plugin.
and please make more :3
Speaking of characters...

Like I said, I've decided to do a "big thing" out of Paul.. So, I need to create a model, and this is somewhat I'm imagine he'll look like.
Still the same CAT RIG "look", but he got character.
He won't have any facial expression, neither a actual face.. So I'm gonna have to exaggerate with his body language to communicate with the audience :)
I've made him a Facebook Page:

I find that when emitters are set to high brightness levels, things tend to get noisier. Glossy/transparent textures are also very noisy, it's not unheard of to do 10k samples for scenes involving them.

I have DMM and rayfire, if kekidakis wants to send me the model I will smash that shit up.
My first attempt at a hand model

Ah thanks for the tip, the emitters are behind a plastic-glass(ish) material, so they have to be kinda bright, and for the glossy surfaces, i might just need to up the samples :D
I just noticed that the floor is way too shiny :O

I have no problem sharing any of my models. Anything I can do to help others learn. I just need to get them off my old harddrive, which I'll have to find. I moved a few months back and have lost lots of things. If I find them, I'll send them to you.

Certainly wasn't my first thought.
Hey guys, I'm uploading a copy of a CD I got from a 3d modeling magazine, I figured you guys would get some use out of it. The upload should be done sometime in the morning. It has:
-Two tutorials
-A 43 minute video tutorial on how to make a realistic human eye in maya
-A 25 minute texturing tutorial aimed at people newer to texturing.
-A collection of restaurant models
-4 high detail chair models.
-15 Super high res seaside textures
I might subscribe to the magazine so if I do, ill be sure to post more cd uploads.
I might scan some of the tutorial inside too, it was pretty inspiring.
I was going to buy a 3D modelling magazine but it was £15, It had many good tutorials and other information inside.
