wheres the dick
Why would it need a dick?
We have our reasons.

EDIT: I suck. Ignore this post.
Why would it need a dick?
what kind of a man doesnt have a dick
Take a look at "Get Started with Blender" by BlenderCookie.
Er, he's going to 3DS and leaving Blender, not the other way around.
Yeah he's "upgrading".
So, I've recently been propositioned to rig a Bird in Blender. Anyone know any really good Blender tutorials that teach some good rigging practices and such?

Rigging birds is a pain though if you have to rig the feathers and all that. Here's a wingtest I did for a birdrig that never got finished. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2344342/faebird_wing.avi I could probably help out a bit if you get stuck somewhere.
Well, the bird is relatively low poly, so I don't need to do the feathers per se.
Parent the mesh to the bones with automatic weights, set the skeleton to pose mode and the mesh to weight paint mode, move the bones around (select them with right click as usual) and adjust the weight of vertices as you move them until it looks good. (Alt+R resets any rotations). Also, here.
Quick render of an almost finished laser handgun thing. Designed with more of a Zeerust-y theme in mind (texture is gonna convey that a little better). Trying to keep things relatively low poly.
your polygon distribution is kinda weird
Take a look at "Get Started with Blender" by BlenderCookie.
Going to 3ds from Blender and I just said tutorials aren't helpful.
Er, he's going to 3DS and leaving Blender, not the other way around.
I'm not a clever man... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
High poly Rebel Allliance Helmet. Hopefully begin retoping on Sunday and, hopefully, have my first successful High poly Bake.
Any idea how to make it look more interesting? Thinking of redoing the walls. [img_thumb]http://www.1337upload.net/files/hangar_008.png[/img_thumb]
[HD]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9rgG2vPAvQ&hd=1[/HD] Somebody read my mind and made a movie about it.
[HD]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9rgG2vPAvQ&hd=1[/HD] Somebody read my mind and made a movie about it.
Animation needs a bit more work but the shading and lighting was quite realistic though...

[img_thumb]http://www.1337upload.net/files/hangar_008.png[/img_thumb]
Try setting some things back in the wall or try an "overwatch" window slap bang in the middle. Or a TV or something, what is its setting? (military barracks, garage, space station) etc.

[editline]10th August 2012[/editline] It's a hangar, imagine WW2 aircraft carrier in space.
I know it's overused, but ventilation, perhaps. If it's a hangar, why not add a few toolboxes or fuel lines?
Well if it's a hangar it makes sense to shove a fucking plane in it.
Did some more work on the hotrod.
I've spent the last day making this model. It's for a game I've been working on, slowly, for a bit now in Unity. Not going for a perfectly accurate replica, just trying to get the general shape. Just a quick no-effort texture to make it not grey. I still need to fix some things with the mesh like the UVs, before I actually get into the texture work.
i havent modeled in a while, so i made a quick low poly tank. a german "maus" to be exact.
Still v wip, I probably need to redo everything because this initially was just to test normalmap baking. [editline]12th August 2012[/editline] I also need to learn how to make wear and tear. [editline]12th August 2012[/editline] yeah it needs completely redoing why funnies? D:
Yes, I know it's Minecraft... Softwares used: - Cinema 4D r13 - Adobe Photoshop CS6 - AutoDesk ShetchBook Pro 2011 - Zbrush
It's not very good looking for using that many programs.
