Yes I went through many images for inspiration and many different concept drawings and spent hours doing research
your hard work paid off, it's an exceptional dildo model i would recommend this cool new site called bad-dragon.com for all your dildo modeling needs [editline]19th August 2012[/editline] content: vroom [editline]19th August 2012[/editline] spinning real fast
On the topic of second life, very easy to make money. I have one unfurnished, but nice, mesh house and just that nets me like 8$ every other day. If you had a shop with hundreds of models you could make nice money. Pretty soon they are adding spec maps, normal maps, and a breadth of other upgrades. After marketing to the casual crowd failed miserably, Linden Lab is going back to engineering the game to the gamer crowd.
UVs are mirrored, I'm well under the poly budget so saving on texture size became more important. It's not really apparent from that angle, but the Huey has a pretty distinct shape to it. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/22565769/that%27sjustlike%2Cyouropinionman.png[/t] In addition, I'm going to be making a ton of LODs, which will remove most of those loops at appropriate distances. [editline]19th August 2012[/editline] Fixed, thanks for pointing that out.
I don't see much use in LOD models unless it's for a mobile game or you're planning to have thousands of them flying at the same time.

That is damn sexy. Its just so awesome how the first image just looks like a flat sprite. Do want tutorial indeed
How is this effect achieved?
How is this effect achieved?
I guess it's upscaled with point interpolation. But can't be sure if it would actually look like that.

Looks great, DOG-GY.
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Bike_Tute.png[/img_thumb] p simple, i didnt cover lighting because thats unnecessary and would change drastically depending on what mood etc u want
I guess it's upscaled with point interpolation. But can't be sure if it would actually look like that.
Seems you're correct.
I don't see much use in LOD models unless it's for a mobile game or you're planning to have thousands of them flying at the same time.
I'd like LODs so I can remove those middle loops that are not needed at certain distances, good sir. They only take a few minutes to make. However, I've dumped that Huey and I'll be remaking it later when I get more experience with vehicles.
Bryan has a fetish for lod's. So my normals are kinda fucked Is there a way I can set them perpendicular to the face easily?

those are some critiques for you just seems like the whole thing is blocky over all still looks good tho
those are some critiques for you just seems like the whole thing is blocky over all still looks good tho
It's not quite "critique" when you just point at a problem...
Rendering a breakdown for my reel using after effects, but I'm having trouble finding a lossless codec that isn't too large for Vimeo (limit is 500mbs) Any suggestions?
Rendering a breakdown for my reel using after effects, but I'm having trouble finding a lossless codec that isn't too large for Vimeo (limit is 500mbs) Any suggestions?
There are some high quality codecs that doesn't make you lose a lot of quality and reduce a lot of the size such as H.264. Also doesn't Vimeo uses their codecs when you upload(I was pretty sure they used H.264)?
those are some critiques for you just seems like the whole thing is blocky over all still looks good tho
(except for the front bit) that's my low poly ao bake fucking up. textools has been baking ao with poor regard for smoothing recently and I can't figure out why. as for the front, i don't know what you find wrong because it's just a giant circle over the whole opening. i don't see why you think it's blocky?? the polycount is pretty perfect for an hl2 mod and matches the budget of the other weapons we've made that are already in engine. anyways, i'm animating that hand model i posted a while back. once i get it done and in unity i'll post a video or at least gifs or something. -tried to edit but couldn't access fp for a few minutes there
lol
That's an odd way of making stocks and handguards out of wood.
AAA quality wood texture
