god damn, if it proves to be versatile then texture art could take a big turn.
pretty badass software, just used it for the first time on my pulse cannon model. even if you can't use it as a whole, you could easily pull some great scratches off it. definitely keeping an eye on this one.

this is definitely going to create a flood of bad work tho, but hopefully it's flexible enough that people can get really good results out of it. i'd still consider what it gives you to be a base to start with.
secrios fuck off and die and its not even because of the rating i dont give a shit about that youre just an awful person why are you not banned tia
Any tool that makes the process easier brings a flood of bad work, it can't be helped, people who are new at it think the tool will do everything for them and spit out bad work, people who are experienced know that the tool can only guess and they will have to go on top of what it outputs and give it their own personal feel, it just saves time for those who know what they're doing, and saving time when it comes to 3d art, vfx, etc is always welcome.
I've been looking on the site and watched the video's but I'm still not sure what exactly it is, Could you perhaps explain what exactly is it that it does?
You load in a normal map, pick some options, and it does the rest.
I'm impressed with the way it manages to pick up screws and peel away paint at those sections, it's edge detection is also really impressive, and the way it fills in areas of low detail with weathered precision.
Another 2 panels I just made:

I have a feeling it may become overused, although custom texturing & complex modelling for normal generation is still required - it can't just go and create grills and details for you.

yeah this is what i mean
Made a texture breakdown of the Cobra. Dunno if someone will find it useful but I figured I might as well post it in here as well.
Some renders i did on my spare time. Blender 2.64a and Cycles only (always at 200 passes - 1920x1080 - GPU render and additional Post Processing Node stuff)
They were done for a "15 Minute Modelling Blender Game", means everything you see was modelled and prepared for rendering in less than 15 minutes (Rendering time not included, goes from 1 to 4 minutes)
Some barrels modelled with Subsurf.

The Earth! BG from my friend Juju, Earth Textures from a tutorial on blenderguru.com (I used it to simulate atmosphere effect), the rest by me.

You may as well have a massive watermark in the middle of the images.
Gave dDo a quick try, made a quick sluplt and baked it too a low poly model and then loaded the baked textures into dDo. This is the resault in the preview window and in UDK:

(Less then 30 min spent in total, so the result isn't the best)
Since we're on the topic of ddo, have you guys heard of Substance Designer?
It can do what ddo and ndo2 do, and much more, it's quite amazing really:
http://www.allegorithmic.com/products/substance-designer-3
And it's compatible with Unity and UDK in a very dynamic way (think manipulating diffuse, normal, occlusion, etc maps in real-time, adjusting levels, color, oppacity, etc)
I only found out about it today, on another forum where people were also talking about ddo.

Nodebased texturing. Have to give this a go, thanks for posting.
i didn't expect that unthumbed planet earth. shat my pants.
Made another model for fun. used the iMac i posted previous as highpoly for the baking.
Thinking about setting up a proper studio light instead of using the default sun and sky in UDK.

did you use dDo on that imac jesus
if your imac looks like that, then you should probably clean it
its a post apocalyptic imac you dumbshits
menter u silly no apple product would have a working screen if it was in a post apocalyptic world
BECAUSE APPLE PRODUCTS HAVE SHITTY GLASS GET IT
I GET IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO GET IT
btw look at the moon guys, you can see jupiter next to it.
Tried the trial version of Marmoset today, got a much better result on the iMac:

How come? Even iMacs age and get dirty over time, if you were to leave an iMac for a very long time in a dusty/sandy environment it would get dirty. Nothing dumb about that?
It's just that the level of dirt and grime you have there is excessive. I could see it being reasonable if you were importing the model into Fallout, or were making a collection of Mac products you'd find in a sewer. But for normal dust and dirt, that's way too much.

Never said for how long it had been standing? The idea behind the model was too make it look "post-apocalyptic" just as MenteR pointed out.
Working on a m67 now, just finished the high and low poly models, now too the UV unwrapping. And by now i mean way later today. Was hard to find ref images of the grenade that looked the same, so its kind of an mixture of 2-3 different images, just because I can!

Kinda looks like it's made out of a wall and wood.
Spent a couple of hours working on my university individual project submission for this year.

Will break up the floor surface with some extra cabling and such as I go along.

Made using the metal and glass presets in dDo.
UVed the m67, and baked some normals in Modo:
