Now it looks like a Ugandan child soldier.
I was thinking more like this: Also, military berets are usually made out of more rigid fabric.
Looks like a hat that died though
Started on a beret for the female head, not really happy with how the fabric of it turned out,
I think you should work on the head more before moving to other things. The anatomy does not look convincing and her face lacks a lot of the usual forms that add to that believability. If you thought more about how the skull lies underneath the skin you'd notice what to fix. Also her ears look quite wonky. Don't take me wrong it's a good start but it could be a lot better with some tweaks.

Since its supposed to be the highlight of the a Christmas decorated tree after all :)

And im fed up with christmas stuff now.

I never did a 100 day challenge or anything like it but I really acknowledge the fact after 100 creations, big or small, its a great way to improve ones art! A lot of your earlier work looks experimental which I like!
I aint doin no mo christmas stuff, made too much of it and got sick of it. So have some beer i made
Is it just me or does the left glass look kind of flat if you stare at the text Guinness.

The one at the top makes it obvious that it tiles.
The white highlight.
Is it just me or does the left glass look kind of flat if you stare at the text Guinness.
You are correct, its kinda flat. Was another one of those models for my 100 day project, and i fucked up and didnt have much more time to fix it.
Did you map the guinness logo? or is it just a plane in the air?
The one at the top makes it obvious that it tiles.
I think it's somethin with the tessellation, dunno why it's doin that. I noticed it and plan to fix it when I can.
I think it's somethin with the tessellation, dunno why it's doin that. I noticed it and plan to fix it when I can.
It looks like you have too much specularity.. Update on the fur: Did some adjustments to the SSS, and decreased the percent of the AO to 25% of it's strength..
He appears to have disappeared. [editline]24th December 2012[/editline] Or not appear to disappear. man, fuck English.
we don't even have ÆØÅ Domino does cuz he Noralien-gen post worthy of page empress
ÆØÅ! We got the ÆØÅ.
He appears to have disappeared. [editline]24th December 2012[/editline] Or not appear to disappear. man, fuck English.
haha, I just hid him :P But you were right the first time. He appear to have disappeared.
Did you map the guinness logo? or is it just a plane in the air?
Its projected on because i failed at another attempt and ran out of time ._. (was getting close to midnight)
It looks like you have too much specularity..
it's not that. it doesn't have the same problem without tessellation.
I got around fixing that guinness glass, i feel stupid over how easy it was to do it. gonna update it here soonish, rendering now. Edit: Bam (eh forgot to up the blur smoothing)
glass looks like a glass but the liquid doesnt look like a liquid
Maybe because its Guinness and Guinness looks like a black void? (also tastes meh)
I think the foam is where you're running into trouble, there should be bubbles visible at that range.
I think the foam is where you're running into trouble, there should be bubbles visible at that range.
Thats true, keep looking at reference images that didnt show them close enough. Thanks for feedback
Made a pint of beer too, seemed like a fun thing to render. Modeled in Maya rendered in Modo:
Sharing one of my current projects I'm working on out here. In short, its a hard copy of the mask from the Dishonored video game. I've been pulling reference images from the web so I had enough info to recreate the mask with somewhat accuracy I think. I'm still on the modelling stage and I'm missing some parts here and there but overall I'm feeling close to getting somewhere. Done with Mental Ray and 3Dsmax
