I have both my wallet and finger crossed on this project to become fruity :')
Wow, that geometry's pretty amazing. I'm certainly impressed.
On a side note, my wonderful parents got me Dishonoured for Christmas, and I'm terribly excited to play it!
Thanks! :) Either you made it obvious what you wanted for xmas, or your parents are gamers as well! Awesome parents you got nonetheless!
There's only one game franchise my dad knows to keep me updated with on birthdays and Christmas, and that's Assassin's Creed, because we both love the series. I play it on my PS3, and he just watches for hours and hours :v:

going to finish up rest of conscript's weapons so i can finally stop doing weapons for ever and ever
diffuse only no lighting
damn that looks good
Seems like there's some pretty big UV resolution disparities (sights vs slide for instance).

It would look great, except for the really obvious pixelation on the diagonal grooves, imo.

How do I restart an Nvidia display driver if I don't want to restart the computer? The driver crashed and caused Blender to crash after 9 hours of rendering.

yeah there were some poor uving in there unfortunately - there was a big spot of empty at the end and I didn't want to reorganize the whole thing, so I thought i might as well use it to make the back sights bigger
it looks alright in a first person perspective though

That looks immensely fucked up man (but its good)
I'm having problems with MassFX in 3ds max 2012, I need to fill a pill bottle with pills in a way that it looks right and then have the bottle fall over and the pills inside move properly, but just the filling part doesn't seem to be working right, it just doesn't fall inside it properly no matter what, it always ends up either clipping trough or just not really responding to the shape properly:

And I need to make a part where a glass is filled with water from a glass pitcher, what would be the best way to do that?
after like four months of intense traditional charcoaling i just couldn't resist jumping back into zbrush and push some polygons around.
sculpted a thing and then painted eyelashes and brows, irises, and strands of hair in PS, before adding some graphic design elements- because.

Why is the nose so dark. It looks like she has frostbite.
its winter
Why is the nose so dark. It looks like she has frostbite.
it's a stylization thing, like the stuff the dark noses you see in the 2d art of artists like loish and that guy that does a bunch a comics about fascists in military uniforms.
i like it.
Though he/she is better at making it fit the rest of the image
Its a bit too contrasty at the moment.

here, have some art

(you know you need some sleep when you end up watching hour long tutorials about blender, when you dont even use blender.)
Does anyone know of a good website to use for finding good reference photos of guns and other objects that would be useful for modelling?
also something I found was that if I'm modelling a gun it's useful to look up disassembly videos in order to better understand the types of shapes that make it up.

i always get the feeling you do it because detlef did it you should honestly try to do a thing without a dark nose seriously it looks fine sometimes on your work but other times it does not fit, because it's not your style. you've just seen it on other peoples works and your friends work and just done it yourself. i think you should stop doing it
it really doesn't fit on a zbrush model that's like millions of polys

at all

i think this goes deeper and into your sexual obsessions with red-faced handsome french girls jens
I'm stuck with a simple problem that I know is very easy to solve, but after not having touched 3DsMAX in a while, I forgot how to solve it (google has no clear results).
I want to ignore the grid and simply draw objects on a plane, but they keep on using the default grid instead of snapping to the side of the plane.
How do I solve this simple problem?

When creating the object, check autogrid under Object type
When creating the object, check autogrid under Object type
That didn't work
That didn't work
Works fine here.
It does appear to be working, but I guess it doesn't work with this script that makes it easier to create blueprints of objects. Thanks!
After playing around with 3DS Max for a while I decided to make something for real. A barrel.
