And how the balls did you UV it? Could you please posts the diffuse?
it doesn't really matter how it's uvd if it's baked. just put a couple seams on it and done.
Vertex paint that shit, I quite like vertex painting.

Could you please posts the diffuse?[/QUOTE] The method is really lazy and doesn't take long, mainly I just use the standard brush on low topology to get the rough shape, then go through slightly smaller for some detail, bump up the topology a little more, then use pinch. For the unwrap, I usually use this method for unwrapping sphere objects. [img]http://i35.tinypic.com/293diyf.jpg[/img]
Sculpting is fun but I such horribly at it. Original Voxel model: [img]http://i.imgur.com/UzOAW.png[/img] Retopologized and textured model: [img]http://i.imgur.com/hezwu.jpg[/img] Final model is 500 polys (I wanted it to be game-res) but hair has twice as many polys as it should and face has half as many as it should, and it's generally a shitty retopo.

So I'm pretty well into mapping for the source engine and I've decided to delve into the world of modelling seeing as a lot of level design on newer engines involves that sort of thing. Now are there any good resources for beginners besides what Autodesk provides? Any tips for a beginner?
