I would love to model my bed but i feel my stain texturing powers are not precise enough
Maybe weapon designs since weapons are pretty common here?
3D contests are more fun trying to break out of what's usually posted, give everyone a challenge by modelling something they wouldn't normally model.
Why not make it a team competition where you get together in teams and work together with the given theme. That would be interesting ;) Just an idea on a idea.
The bed idea sounds pretty interesting actually.

Would be cool and interesting, the only problem is that it would be complicated since people use different software for their work
But would work if someone makes the design/textures/models individualy

Possible. It'll add to the challenge. The scope of the contest must then be fit for a team-effort though.
also we cant collectively come up with ideas, the concept should be released at the same time as the contest starts.
