The outcome looks great, but.. There seem to be some awful blur on most of the leaves :<
I think I messed up on the depth of field settings, have to go back and fix that later :v: And... week 5 completed as well: [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44918480/Portfolio/week5_lake_final.png[/img_thumb]
i might scrap the jeans and make him a full magma golem or something! [editline]22nd March 2012[/editline] actually i'm gonna make the jeans leather pants, that will look rad! [editline]23rd March 2012[/editline] but i might scrap the magma concept completely, it doesn't really show the details on the model, it hides them :(
Do it. It's looking good btw.

Not quite the Clichée to start off with, but here's your generic IKEA Glasses PS: Does anyone know where these stupid white artifacts come from ? They seem to appear after 500+ Samples [editline]24th March 2012[/editline] Ithink I'm developing a glass fetish :S

Modeled one of those relaxing chairs for an architectural scene I'm planning out: [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44918480/Portfolio/chair.png[/img_thumb]
Quick question: I'm new to working with armatures in Blender, and at the moment I'm working on a small scene where there will be a person holding a big stick and mixing stuff in a pot. I've got armatures created that deform the model, but how would I go about linking the stick with the armature, so that when I move the stick the arms follow it and have the hands snapped onto the stick? I've created a special bone with a kinematic thing so that when I move that bone, nearby bones move as well but this is located behind the elbow. Dunno why I made it though. I'm not very good at this so far, if anyone has any links to tutorials that detail this stuff then that would be great.
[t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/wip215.png[/t] Can anyone tell where those weird black lines behind the TARDIS are coming from? Here's the scene. Layer 1 - [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/layer11.png[/t] [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/layer1_2.png[/t] Layer 2 - [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/layer2.png[/t] Together - [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/open_gl_render.png[/t] The lights are "this layer only" and the plane below the TARDIS is "shadows only". [editline]fack[/editline] Nevermind, fixed it. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/wip310.png[/t]
I'm calling this thing done now
That's just demotivating...
I always look forward to overcoming the people who are better than me, I don't see how that's demotivating, you just have to think of it in another way.
Yeah man, stop being so emo.
I always look forward to overcoming the people who are better than me, I don't see how that's demotivating, you just have to think of it in another way.
And as well people who have that mindset as opposed to the opposite tend to be much more successful. Use others' work for inspiration, not to belittle yourself.

lol nerd
Hey guys, if you're polypainting in photoshop, is it possible to have it import your UV sheet for the model at the same time, rather than creating its own shitty UV?
Does anyone have a torrent for a plain (non hacked normal iso) version of 3ds max 2012? Torrents are generally faster and my Firefox crashes way to much to try to download it all from the autodesk website.
Have you tried chrome yet?
Used it for two years but I have had problem after problem and switched over.
Used it for two years but I have had problem after problem and switched over.
Try using the DownThemAll extension. Also, I finally got to the avatar request. :v:
Try using the DownThemAll extension. Also, I finally got to the avatar request. :v:
Wow! Downthemall is actually really great, I was surprised to have the quality and stability of a torrent in a browser. Also, love what you did with the avatar request, really slick. Sorry for the lack of content posts, I will make sure to have something rendered tomorrow.
