I created a cam spin from one of my newest HDRi's: [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWD0Zjg6GHs&hd=1[/hd] Yep, those are nvidia roller bearings, alright!
Neat! I see you've learned quite a lot from your first hdri images.
Just gotta share this with you. Awesome work done by a Tor Frick All on a single piece of 256x512 texture Layout for the texture
sorry zomg. i tried to do a visual example but i just don't have time to get one together :(
It's cool man, I'll keep searching for tutorials and playing around. Thanks for the help

Reminds me of some lowpoly mapping tricks where you use a small 16x16 or smaller texture with very few colors and use the uv's to make all kinds of interesting textures.
Is there a way to centre all your selections on themselves? Like put them all at 0,0,0 or average it out on where they're currently placed, not the verts, their pivot points. [editline]10th April 2012[/editline] this is for UVing

I love that aesthetic. Only problem is that it only seems to appear in a crapsack world, every single time. It also reminds me that I will never be that good at 3D art...
Why does this happen. :(
Neat! I see you've learned quite a lot from your first hdri images.
Thanks! Just for fun, I'd like to show my first attempt ever at an HDRi environment (4 years old): Since then I've collaborated closely with the guy behind Aversis.be on improving the techniques behind these panoramas. :)
Boat is coming along nicely. I'm in reeeaallly tight schedule here, my contract is not getting renewed and my portfolio sucks.
Working on my first real character model. Pretty happy with my face texture. [editline]10th April 2012[/editline] And yea, his eyes are kind of big. EDIT Another picture of him, not done with his body texture yet.
He actually looks nicely stylized. His eyes work well with it.
Why does this happen. :(
Minimization of this problem: Bake with cage that is just barely encompasses the high poly. As close as it can get. Tweak it manually if needed. Add more geo.

yo vman that looks fucking awesome and i want to have sex with you didn't that dude come from that one illustration you did?
[img_thumb]http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a237/TheFrisk/lightingtest.png[/img_thumb] Made this out of boredom during a lecture on lighting. Question though; anybody know what the grey sphere is reflected on the dialectic ones? I know the white spheres are the light sources, but I can't figure out what the grey ones are.

If so, wouldn't the one closest to the camera not show, since the other two would reflect on a side not seen?
fucking love the character vman!

Hey guys. First time posting here. I'm still a newbie when it comes to Modelling, but with the help of tutorials I managed to make this. Sorry for the size. My computer can't handle rendering that well. It took 3 hours to render this small thing. :v:
Oh, you used the tutorial which got me into Bokeh DOF and Glare :3 http://www.polygonblog.com/bokeh-effect/
Yep, that's the one. Will take me a while to learn how to incorporate that technique into other stuff, though. I'm still an amateur, after all.
Hey all, I've got a bit of an issue. I'm blocking out a quick table tennis table for a school project, but my AO isn't working that way I think it should. Why are there two patches of dark? They shouldn't be there, should they? I know it doesn't have to do with the color because I changed the net to green there just to make it easier to point out. [editline]11th April 2012[/editline]

How To Be Eaten By A Woman. Good song. :D

And combine them in either After Effects or Photoshop? (depending if you're gonna make a video, or picture)? And yes, the song is awesome :3

Honestly it doesn't need to be super pretty or accurate. I got the proportions right and that's about it, everything else is what looks close enough.
Fractals up in this bitch. Pardon the lag it may cause.
Teach me your ways, oh mighty wizard.
