Thanks a lot, bro! Hopefully these updates will patch up some of the really annoying issues like centering instantly crashing 3ds max.

It does, thank god.
In Blender Cycles, how can I delete an automatically inserted keyframe?
Had a smooth camera animation going but accidentally moved the camera halfway through it and now it looks stupid.
It's very square and boxy looking. The chest for example has almost straight sides, take a look at your own torso, does it have straight angles?
My own chest is not good reference for this but I did smooth it more in the newest version

Select the camera and go to graph editor and delete the key for that frame.
@Scotchair
Just watched Axis Demoreel from 2011...damn.
You're one lucky guy! Talented too ofcourse but lucky you're in a country where there are studios who know how to do it right. I wish we had some animation studio in Finland where you'd actually really want to work.
Also if others haven't seen it. https://vimeo.com/24750506

I made this for what ever reason.

Not very accurate but looks clean though.
I've got to get back into this over the summer... I've also got to start applying to colleges and scholarships and all sorts of academic hoo-haa which I really don't care for.
Wonder if there's a scholarship for this kind of thing. There seems to be one for everything else.
Quick question, open these two images in tabs and flick between them, you probably should be able to tell a difference in quality especially where the planet is closest. but I'm trying to decide if an extra 1 and a half minutes is worth the slightly more than subtle improvement.

Definitely worth it, in my opinion.

Higher resolution one is much better. Low res one looks blurry.
I forgot to mention it's going to be a 600 frame animation. I wish I had a 2500k it would cut rendertime to somewhere around 1/3-1/5th as much time.

an extra 15 hours?
My middle mouse button broke :(

I know your pain bro :(
Hmm, using Google Streetview as reference and SketchUp as modelling tool seems to work reasonably well for me. At least it doesn't scream programmer art and will do nicely as placeholder for now.
[t]http://puu.sh/wj2P[/t]
The only problem being Sketchup generates horribly unoptimized meshes. Before you export it to Source/your game, import it into Max or Blender and remove vertices that are in the same space (remove doubles).

That's the beauty of having a mouse with more buttons then just three ;)
Hmm.. Speckie doesn't work :<

Spent the day making my low poly version of my slums to act like a 3D skybox as well as a standalone product. The total of these buildings shown is only 244 polygons. Not to shabby considering the original buildings averaged around 1.5k a piece. I love doing these little low polys. I still have four more to go, of course the ones left are the biggest.
Ajacks, that's amazing. It's amazing because that's the exact quality one would expect from any number of AAA video games shipped over the past five years. And they hire entire art teams to do their models.
You're one man, doing the work of many, with the same or better quality. How do you feel about that?
Avoiding sleep so I made a random caricature.

It's either Lincoln or Obama.
I tried out TrueSculpt on Android, and it's pretty damn cool! Everyone check it out.

I used to have it, but the user interface and everything else sucked balls :<
Compared to Zbrush.. No wait. Compared to 3Ds Max graphite modeling tools, TrueSculpt is nothing.... It's like comparing a diamond to a single rock you find in your driveway :-/
But it does show that development for the mobile platform is well under it's way, and with nVidia launching their Terga 3 platform with 4-cores (pluss one companion core), and Samsung with their 4-core Cortex-9 processor, we'll most likely see some interesting apps on the Play Market.
It's either Lincoln or Obama.
Yeah maybe. :D I thought it might have looked a bit like Obama.
I didn't have a reference really I had just cycled through some caricatures on google for a school assignment and decided to doodle a bit for practice.

Why are you even bothering comparing desktop applications to a mobile app? It's for fun, not actual development. That's like bagging on Sketchbook Mobile for not being as good as Photoshop/GIMP. And I thought the UI was just fine, thank you very much.

Haha, don't get me wrong, it's really cool that such apps exist.
It just seem like the developers want it to be a serious app, not "just for fun".
So naturally anyone would want to compare it with something and therefor one must accept harsh criticism.
And Sketchbook Mobile is a light version of Sketchbook Pro which is an excellent drawing app, not a photo editing program.
Also one can compare Sketchbook Pro with the desktop version of Sketchbook Pro, and it holds up pretty darn good.

This is excellent, anatomically it looks believable but the character is brilliant.

But sir
A diamond is a rock
