Anyone?
You might not want to hear it but Google Images is usually the best bet. It's quite often useful for stumbling across sites with shit tons of references too.
http://wiki.polycount.com/CategoryReferenceProp
Holy shit, thanks bro!
http://wiki.polycount.com/CategoryReferenceProp
First album there was the one I used all the time. Thankfully there's a FTP version.
Is there a way to download that whole site without individually downloading each zip file?
Got a problem with my Normal Baking. I'm getting this error when I try to RTT: But It wont let me select or change the File Name and Type? (IE The option is greyed out)
Press continue?
Press continue?
We want to avoid using up our continues, as it'll completely fuck over our score
result: not quite what I wanted...
You need to do origin to geometry, NOT geometry to origin.
Press continue?
I've done that twice, both times it begins but then just stops and doesn't go any further. [editline]10th July 2012[/editline]
dat smoothing
It's the Projection cage.
baking in max just doesn't look as good as baking in other software :/
baking in mudbox is decent.
result: not quite what I wanted...
Not sure how you can do it in Max, but in Maya, if you hit Insert and choose the move tool, you can move that pivot point around to wherever you want it.
I aborted that project, I loved the engines but the rest of the ship was pretty shit
Does anyone know how to make a simple chrome looking shader in maya?
-Snip I'm tired-
Does anyone know how to make a simple chrome looking shader in maya?
1. WINDOW > Settings / Preferences > Plug-in Manager 2. Load mayatomr 3. Create mentalray nodes > Materials > mia_material 4. Go to shader presets > click chrome
so would this be a good thread to post for help when regarding adobe After Effects?
so would this be a good thread to post for help when regarding adobe After Effects?
Uh no. Digital 3D Art. Unless you're referring to CGing 3D models into videos. On that topic, Blender 2.6 has that built in! It's pretty cool.
It's done :) Link taken down until problems are solved. Edited There seem to be something awfully wrong with some of the sounds, I almost sounds like the sounds for when he grabs the ball, and dunks it in the ground is gone :-/ Gonna see if I can fix that asap. Hokay, so I fucked something up, resulting in almost all my sounds being -49 DB.... :-/ New vid with updated sounds up in about 3 hours.. (After Effects motion blur FTW)
Just a question, how'd you get the grid thing on the magazine? I'm working on my first real model. did you use floating geometry or something? absolutely gorgeous model, btw, love it.
Can I get an answer to this question?
I made something too. [img_thumb]http://www.leet.cc/39.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.leet.cc/412.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.leet.cc/313.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.leet.cc/811.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.leet.cc/110.png[/img_thumb]
Sexy...
I made something too. [img_thumb]http://www.leet.cc/39.png[/img_thumb] -more pictures-
Looks great. The only thing that bugs me is that the fins that extend from the side and go down look way too clean to match the rest of the design.
Looks great. Would have wanted to do something else there but didn't have time so I just went with it...
It's the Projection cage.
I know, just saying. I ran into many problems (especially with large flat surfaces) when using just 1 SM, after baking the lighting the normal map had wierd blobs on it (UDK). Looked a lot better when I added hard edges in areas you don't see.

I've tried pressing continue but it literally just starts then stops half a second later.
Had time to start on the texture today, here's what I got now.
Had time to start on the texture today, here's what I got now.
Looks nice, I would add a beveled edge on the side. The edge that runs from the front wheel to the back is way to hard IMO.
