With the Stanely parable, he's still definetly annoying (His circus seal laugh and a lot of whining about inconsequential things) but he doesn't really fuck it up too badly. He manages to miss an ending due to resetting from lack of patience, but that's about it. To be fair, TSP isn't exactly a challenging game at all.

TSP is more about the enjoyment of thinking outside of the box and the game accommodating you.
