Third Eye is a very complex song, hard to play too, one of my favourites but definitely is better from Salival album then from Aenima.

I just learned it rescently (on guitar), yay. Most of Tool´s songs are relatively easy to play, whitch is an other reason I really like Tool. Also, the songs on Salival are a great example of how they can sound mutch better live.
You sir have just proved how little you know about writing music. Tools music is harmonically and structurally incredibly complex, their writing style is completely out there.
LOL, are you serious??
I was just reading something about Tool and thinking about taking a listen to some of their stuff. Is Lateralus a good album to start with?
BTW anyone have any info on their new album?
I'm stepping through my shadow

Probably listen to Aenima first. Or even Undertow, though it´s nothing like Lateralus.
Trip your balls off on shrooms and listen to 10,000 Days it will change your life mannnnn

Once I smoked weed, well drugs are for people but only for the ones who like to try, so I only tried weed few times. Well it was trippy, Intension, Right in Two, Reflection, Triad, Third Eye, Lateralus, these are the songs which tripped me a lot but in a good way and it was awesome.
LOL, are you serious??
Have you even tried to play one of their songs?
I grew up on Tool and Rage Against The Machine. Tool is still and always will be one of my most favorite bands.

I get high off it without drugs.
I've got no problem with Tool, but I have a dislike for the fans who think they're "complex" and "spirtually advanced" because they listen to them
And out of the fans I know that's like 70% of them

They usually have no idea what the lyrics mean either. The hypocrisy in said people saying they're spiritually advanced is just astounding.
Only ones I understand are Vicarious. Because it applies to me.

You will probably find those kind of fans with any progressive metal band.

Note how he's also wearing no shoes.

No progressive metal is the style of music they play. The name of a genre rarely has anything to do with the lyrics.

He plays with out his shoes on. Bare foot > shoes on drums.
I'm so OGT.
But really, tool is kickass. Some of their more experimental stuff is a bit too far out there for me, but I have a couple albums.

Indeed, I know very little of prog metal however

You guys should try Karnivool, they're similar to Tool and they're awesome
Before you go to sleep, put on your Mp3 player and listen to Lateralus. You will have crazy fucked up dreams.
I forgot to mention, their music is probably one of the reasons I learn to play guitar, I can easily relate to Adam Jones for it, he's a great visual artist and a good guitarist, I've myself learned to play couple of tool's songs, and it helped me develop my skills a lot in playing.
uhhh yeah the drop d power chord skills? enjoy getting nowhere later on in some shitty bar punk band with that knowledge rofl

Adam Jones is a creative, amazing guitarist. He just doesn't show off because Tool are about the experience, the music. Not the people playing it.

This guy is such a pathetic troll. It's sort of funny actually. But then again not really, so he should get out.
Back on topic. Listening to Schism. It's really amazing.
