I fear bees and wasps. And anything that walks on my walls.
Seriously, just realize that they are like any animal, just much smaller. Also, like other people said, you should try holding someone's pet tarantula or something. You know how I get over my fear of heights? I just tell myself that I'm not likely to fall.
Idk, I've never heard of any ways to get over the fear of bugs
I used to have a giant fear of heights, I got over it in my vacation taking it head on, but for the people saying to desensitize myself by having them crawl around on me or holding a fucking tarantula (ffffuuu) just sounds rediculous. If anything that would raise my fear more.
Ordinarily I wouldn't be completely terrified. (unless its a fucking wasp) But when I confessed my fear to a fellow e friend he told me a bunch of facts like wasps attack unprovoked and you swallow bugs in your sleep. I've been scared to look it up to find out if it's true or not.
How can you be scared of maggots they're just hairly wriggly blobs much like babies.
how does that picture apply
Those are awesome, but after a fly killing spree the house smells like burning corpses.
True, but you aren't supposed to cook them if they are pinned, or inhale the fumes.

Very similar to this, 1,500 Volts per hit.

Have you ever touched the metal, while it was powered?
Touch bugs.
Go outside (outdoorsy outside, not the cityscape outside)
Study them. Seriously, they usually don't hurt you if you don't hurt them, Unless they're territorial (wasps). If they are just stay the hell away.

I did do a LITTLE research, there's a nest of yellow jackets in my front yard. I shit myself every time I have to leave for school.
Have you ever touched the metal, while it was powered?
Yes.
Have you?
man up, they cannot hurt you unless it carries venom, house flies can't do shit other than shit
When I think of bugs all over me in my sleep.. i bring in lots of spiiders into the house. That teaches them bugs to stay out of my room.
I don't like spiders much, but overall I'm interested in bugs and don't have a problem touching most of them. Crickets, grasshoppers, pill bugs, millipedes, worms, ants, etc. But no spiders, centipedes, large ants, anything flying, or grubs.
I had a pet millipede that was almost 7 in long, awesome pet. He'd curl into a spiral alot and I'd let him crawl around with all his legs :3. Completely harmless, only eats carrots and romane lettuce, if you want to get over your fear, it's a good pet to keep.

See?
Yes.

I once touched a metal satilite-dish when I was real little and it shocked the hell out of my arm.
Is it sorta like that? I may need one.
I'm terrified of wasps and bees, and any other pain causing bug that can fly or jump. If one gets near me I freak out and possibly sprint away if they follow me.
Hey facepunch, I know your not a psychiatrist, but you're certified e-doctors and humans. For a while I've been scared as hell at bugs. Anything larger then a mosquito in plain site would scare me shitless. I would rather have a gun to my face then a bug on my face. When I see anything remotely like a wasp or bee i run the fuck away. If I see a spider, I run the fuck away. If I see something like a house fly, I basically get away.
My fear of flies wasn't originally that large, but it got worse and is continuing to, it's really starting to interfere with my life. I'm scared by the thought of there being bugs around me without my knowledge. Sucking my blood leaving marks, crawling on my while I'm sleeping, Generally just being bitches of nature.
I would always try to shrug it off as a normal reaction but after dealing with shitting myself over a housefly for an hour today It's time to take action.
I know it probably sounds silly to a normal person, but I'm just scared really fucking badly by insects, I want to know if anyone else was and found a way to over come it. I've used google but the thought of desensitization is stupid to me. If anyone has any kind of advice I'd appreciate it.
you would hate it here in SC. there are nothing but knats (INCREDIBLY FUCKING ANNOYING KNATS!!), swamps, and spiders everywhere. I mean everywhere. I open up the dor an five of them skitter away, and god knows how many millions more are in my yard. oh yea and dont go on nature trails. the lighting makes the already hard to see huge fucking spiderwebs invisible until you feel that feeling of hair constantly in your face and arms the never goes away because fucking spiders have those sticky threads. :argh:
...so basically it's just like in STALKER 'Nothing in here but crazy animals and marshes and deep deep qvicksand'

And grab a can of industrial can of bug spray
have sex with them
Stick your dick into an antmound.
You won't be afraid, so much as in pain.
Edit:
Hivemind.
have sex with them
And why you are at it stick the bees up your dick.
Seeing them right infront of me while they did nothing helped me, the only thing that really scared me shitless is when I got bit by a black widow in my sleep, I became paranoid as fuck.
how the fuck is that funny lol
See what you need to do is put a bunch of bugs in all of your holes.
I held a tarantula once, almost shat myself.
After it crawled around a bit, it became quite cuddly..now I hold it daily.
you get over them by not being such a goddamn pussy
Get out fucking furry and go back to fucking dogs
