I used to be very anti-drugs, but I grew out of it.
I'd happily smoke marijuana if I was offered it and I don't really give a toss about smoking; it feels good.
Harder drugs enter a bit of a grey area for me; I [I]want[/I] to think they're okay but part of me still doesn't like it.

I also do get sort of bothered when I see people drinking on the street. That's loutish behavior. If you're gonna drink, do it in an establishment; No one should be publicly intoxicated, be it drugs or alcohol.
What sort of counter argument do I have to provide? I'm not quoting facts or figures. I'm merely relaying my experience with stoners. I feel I should add that I do not say 'stoner' in a derogatory fashion, merely as a quick way of saying 'someone who takes weed'.

You've obviously never tried it if you think it causes you to escape reality with no other effects. It's more of a general feeling of euphoria that enhances whatever you are doing. It's fun, how is fun a waste of money?

Weed is illegal, being a Jehovah's Witness isn't so THAT isn't a fair comparision. Also, you don't have to click on the thread, Jehovah's Witness come up and knock on your door forcing you to acknowledge them.
Here's a comparison, Jehovah's Witness have a booth on the side of the road, telling people about their religious views. You're walking on the other side of the street, then you cross the street so you can tell them they're forcing their views on you.

I doubt any of these threads would exist if it was legal. How many threads are there talking about how great alcohol and cigarettes are? (Don't get me wrong I love both those things). And I dunno, you weren't really discussing your opinion you were just saying we're forcing crap on you when we aren't.
Plus I don't see these threads as saying WEED IS GREAT EVERYONE DO IT, I think of it more like WEED SHOULDN'T BE ILLEGAL. Because it shouldn't. I don't care if people think it's good or not, everyone says alcohol and tobacco are bad for you and I still use both of those heavily. no. it's addictive in different ways that aren't as strong. If you watch good TV every night after work/school for a year then suddenly stop, you'll really feel like watching it, until the habit fades and you find something else to fill the time gap.
