some poor souls have to watch this lady's presentation

Headline of the slide in first picture alone would make me heavily inclined to disregard everything she says.
And her own "physique" ontop of it enforces the stereotype something fierce.
The fatness =/= health misconception is so idiotic that it's actively painful to see people propagating it.
It's right up there with vaccines causing autism and colloidal silver being a cure-all.

While I agree I do have one request. I seen a lot of people make fun of her weight. That not productive. I think mocking her for her behavior is some what conductive. Calling her a whale and what not only gives her an "out". Her response would be "they are messing with me due to my weight, them bigots!"
Which would give her more creditably to her victim hood. Focusing on the behavior would make a great example of what NOT to do when promoting your cause.

Every doctor who lives for their job would fly out of their chair and yell "that's bullshit" at the first slide.
But just going "lmao, sure thing Moby Dick" is indeed counter-productive.
Instead they're the types who should be drowned with all the facts about how not caring about your personal health both makes you a burden on yourself, but also on society as a whole.
As always the sad fact of the matter is that these sorts of people do exist to a certain degree. Not to the degree these comics go to of course.
Why, just ask neogaf:

God bless neogaf.
Is that neogaf user not a facepunch user as well?

I agree with the facts based point. I am saying calling her whale, fatty, hamburger burgler gobbler and other shit is only give her an out.

I don't know honestly, I found that specific screen cap on the grape vine if you will. Wouldn't surprise me though.

friend made this yesterday :v:
She's pretty silly, but honestly it's seems like the whole thing was a shitshow.
Great, another useful idiot for the alt-right to parade around so they can close their ears when presented with any amount of opposing ideas (even if they bear little to no relation to identity politics)
I have to agree with you here, stuff like this, even the ARE YOU KIDDING ME guy are pretty hilarious on their own but the alt-right keyboard warriors love to take it too far to feel smug on the internet. I lean left but the behavior of this person is ridiculous and unacceptable. It's not a reflection of every person who leans politically left. Why's it gotta be a shit flinging contest? Can't we all just laugh at someone making a fool of themselves?
People are claiming at the moment that the word "Trigglypuff" is being censored on imgur.
People are claiming at the moment that the word "Trigglypuff" is being censored on imgur.
What the word on the internet finally being censored and controlled?
What the word on the internet finally being censored and controlled?
Why though
Why though
I am curious if it is happening and the images not showing up are a sign of that.

Just tried it and it seems to work, perhaps image titles of trigglypuff frontpage images are getting deleted which is still a dumb thing
[editline]3rd May 2016[/editline]
It seems they first did it but recently they turned off the filter since people were catching up, great job imgur

You can't silently censor people who's ready to kick up a shitstorm over censorship in general, because THEY WILL make some noise then.
But I guess someone at Imgur "forgot" that.
Whenever I look at her, all I can think of is that ancient GIF of the fat kid dancing.

I actually agree that 'your health is your business'. However, that doesn't mean that I'm not allowed to not be attracted to fat women, or that doctors aren't allowed to tell you to lose weight to stop you dying from a heart attack at thirty-five.

Actually ignorant obesity causes millions of tax payer dollars and actually promotes other people to be fat, whether it be their kids or someone who looks up to them.

I wouldn't say "look up to them", more like sharing the same apathetic disregard for their personal health in favor for quick & instant 'gratification' (the sense of eating something you like and/or taking the easy way around, like taking the elevator/escalator instead of the stairs)
But otherwise yes, morbid obesity is a real threat to socialized healthcare, so in the end they're affecting those around them with their attitude by ending up a burden on the healthcare system.

I used to have a neighbour who was even fatter than Trigglypuff. I won't go into the gruesome details, but she peaked at a quarter of a ton. That's 250kg, or 551lbs. She died a couple weeks ago, age 50. And she was lucky, very nearly died in her 40s due to a heart attack.
Fatness has a whole goddamn lot to do with health.
I will never understand what it is about some fat people that compels them to argue that thinness is a personal health standard or that there is absolutely no correlation between weight and health.
Really the definition of living in some fantasy world. Must be the same type of people who think "if I walk up this flight of stairs I will have earned a candy bar!"

It doesn't because grimly these people die earlier and so take less money in pensions, by far the biggest area of government spending, than those that are healthy. If looking purely at finances, it saves us money. Of course, that isn't how we should look at it because I think a government does have some responsibility beyond saving as much money as possible, but the financial argument does not hold water.

They die earlier, but they are still much more likely to seek healthcare related to symptoms of their obesity and no matter how you cut it, you're paying for some of that visit somehow.

Just cause your health should be under your control doesn't mean that people shouldn't be allowed to have negative opinions about you. That's what they're really saying.
Just cause your health should be under your control doesn't mean that people shouldn't be allowed to have negative opinions about you. That's what they're really saying.
Really what they're saying is "You can't hate me because I'm fat, because I think health is subjective." Fortunately these types of people give plenty of reasons to hate them outside of their disgusting waste-flesh hybrid bodies.

Doesn't equal the savings from dying earlier, and it isn't even close, even in a country with full government provision of healthcare like the UK. I would recommend reading up on the subject some more. From an economic standpoint, you are completely wrong.
