Frankie Boyle and Bill Hicks
Dave Allen was a genius, it's a shame he died! I guess he shouldn't be on the list since he is dead though.
My favorite stand up comedians are Eddie Izzard, Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey. Both three of them are British, and quite fucking fantastic. [editline]12:41PM[/editline]
No love for Eddie Izzard?
It's absurd that he isn't mentioned more often.
I think Russell Peters is pretty good.
Where is Lee Mack, Jimmy Carr and Sean Lock?
;
Jim Gaffigan is probably my favorite. Was Mitch Hedberg the one who made that joke about baked potatoes? His stuff is pretty great too.
Where is Lee Mack, Jimmy Carr and Sean Lock?
Too good for this thread.
Jim Gaffigan is probably my favorite. Was Mitch Hedberg the one who made that joke about baked potatoes? His stuff is pretty great too.
I hate that high pitch voice Jim Gaffigan does EVERY time he acts like a woman in the audience.
I think you're one of those people that doesn't watch stand-up enough to know why I dislike Jeff Dunham.
Oh I watch a bit of stand up. But all of them are Australian comedians.
I hate that high pitch voice Jim Gaffigan does EVERY time he acts like a woman in the audience.
I thought he only did that in one of his specials?
I thought he only did that in one of his specials?
Maybe, I just stopped watching after that.
OP says Dane Cook is a comedian. I didn't realise shouting was comedy these days. :colbert: Also, where the hell are Bill Bailey and Billy Connolly? :scotland: Also, We need some Irish comedians in here! Since you're missing a description and seem to lack knowledge about him: Louis C.K. Louie is a middle-aged, pessimistic divorcee known for being incredibly mean spirited to the people he loves. His gags are known to involve how much of an asshole his kids are, how retarded his wife his, and some pretty vulgar stuff, like having to clean his daughter's poop covered vagina. The ultimate family man and the ultimate asshole. I can't recommend any comedian higher. He also has a great voice, and just has a hilarious way with words. [img_thumb]http://www.daemonstv.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/20091215_louie-12-16-09-jpegs_LOUIE-0257-550x366.jpg[/img_thumb] He has a brand new show on FX called Louie which I highly recommend.
Other Comedians
Thankyou, OP's choices were terrible. Dara is real good at on the spot stand up.
He also has a great voice, and just has a hilarious way with words.
I never even realized how nice his voice is until you said that haha. It's actually pretty important.
I never even realized how nice his voice is until you said that haha. It's actually pretty important.
His voice reminds me slightly of Bruce Campbell
What about British comedians like Dara O'Brien and Reginald D Hunter
What about British comedians like Dara O'Brien and Reginald D Hunter
:colbert:
Sorry guys, I've been sleeping, I'm on west coast American time. Give me a bit, I'm editing the OP. Can you guys post descriptions along with the comedians? I'm unfamiliar with a lot of British comics. And to people who keep saying things like "wtf where is so and so?," I am working on it, I stated in the OP that my list would be "extremely incomplete," just gimme suggestions and a bit of time. [editline]11:47AM[/editline] I just finished adding all the comics to the OP, although I had to move a couple sections to a different post, I'm reaching the image limit. Please keep posting descriptions, comedians, and everything that should be added to OP, and also where in the OP you think it should go. I've been putting a lot of suggestions in the "Good" section, but I need to know whether some of the comics really deserve to be there, higher, or lower.
Carlos Mencia in who to avoid
Someone to add would be Billy Connolly, surprised he hasn't been mentioned yet.
Ricky Gervays? Eddy Izzard?
I'm not really sure why Will Ferrel and Dimitri Martin are under fantastic comedians though I wouldn't really call them fantastic.
Aziz Asur is pretty mediocre.
Seinfeld being the best sitcom of 90's, bull Newsradio kicks the crap out of Seinfeld any day of the week.
Robin Motherfucking Williams.
where the fuck is lee evans
Omfg this Ben Bailey guy is great.
I love Eddie Izzard Dress to Kill and Definite Article are easily my favourites. Both are on Google Video WATCH THEM
