I might work at getting some descriptions up for the OP.
Tim Minchin - Australian musical comedian that combines his considerable skills in musical performance with stand up comedy. Is noted for a brand of humour that encroaches on sensitive areas in comedy, with some emphasis on religion and sex.
EDIT: Sucks, but better than nothing.
Someone to add would be Billy Connolly, surprised he hasn't been mentioned yet.
He was added, check again.
Ricky Gervays?
Eddy Izzard?
Eddy Izzard is there, I'll add Ricky.
I'm not really sure why Will Ferrel and Dimitri Martin are under fantastic comedians though I wouldn't really call them fantastic.
Will Ferrell is under Good, Demetri is under fantastic because that is where I put him originally. If a couple other people also say Demetri belongs in a lower section, I'll put him there.
Aziz Asur is pretty mediocre.
I personally loved his special, and there was one or two other people in this thread that think highly of him. If general consensus turns against him, I'll lower him.

No, that helps a lot, thanks. I'm gonna have to move the sections again, I'm running out of room for images.
OP says Dane Cook is a comedian. I didn't realise shouting was comedy these days. :colbert:
Also, where the hell are Bill Bailey and Billy Connolly? :scotland:
Also, We need some Irish comedians in here!
I agree with you, but you deserve to be shot without mentioning Tommy Tiernan, best Irish comedian IMO, but I think only Irish people get his jokes.
My top five comedians:
5: Mitch Hedberg
4: Nick Swardson
3: Jim Gaffigan
2: Demetri Martin
1: Bo Burnham
I agree with you, but you deserve to be shot without mentioning Tommy Tiernan, best Irish comedian IMO, but I think only Irish people get his jokes.
I've added Tommy anyway. I'm gonna check out some of his stand-up, he sounds pretty funny from what I've read.
Bill Hicks - A highly respected and influential american comedian active in the 1980s and early 1990s whose brand of comedy and satire was viewed as highly rebellious, and was aimed not only to amuse but also attempted to "enlighten people to think for themselves" and challenge mainstream beliefs, particularly that of the media and the government. Much of his material was aimed at religion, consumerism and corporate America.
Lee Evans - English Comedian noted for his manic style of stand up comedy, using his anxiety and talent for sound effects and physical comedy to help fuel his onstage antics and elicit laughs from the audience.
1: Bo Burnham
I laughed at his stuff a bunch but I'm not sure I get his act, because I didn't watch it the entire way through. Is he just a gay piano player or what?
Also the Amazing Johnathan was good, he's got all the gimmick of Jeff Dunham and none of the terribly shitty jokes.
Russell Peters is hilarious imo.
My fave comedians are mostly up there already. Micheal McIntyre, Frankie Boyle, Tim Minchin, Ricky Jervais, and last but not least, Billy Connolly of course!
But yea, love their stuff a lot. All for different reasons, though. Ricky is just the best at sarcasm. Seriously, it's the funniest shit out.
This shit says pretty much everything I think, except by saying the exact opposite:

Fucking awesome shit, yo'
The fantastic section is fantastic. Seriously, I highly recommend all of those guys (especially George Carlin). He [Carlin] is great not only because his comedy is fantastic but also because he was such a prolific comedian.
Chris Titus and Michael Palascak
George Carlin and Richard Pryor are my two favorites.
Also the Amazing Jonathan is a guy I find hilarious though I only know of two of his stand-up routines. He works mainly in prop comedy.
Gabriel Iglesias is my favorite, just the way he tells his jokes, everyone of his jokes are a long detailed story that are hilarious.
Some awesome early Craig Robinson stand-up, laughed my ass of:

I was going to Put Tommy Tiernan but most of his stuff is about Ireland and foreign people might not get a lot of the jokes.
Cork accents:

Chances are a lot of people can't even understand him.
Also, I forgot to mention Des Bishop:

An Irish-American comedian who draws comparisons and contrasts between the Irish and the Americans and show that we aren't that different. Except when we are. Also he's from New York, is an Irish citizen and knows Irish so he's as Irish as anyone.

Dave Allen is very very funny.
Where would you put Yakov Smirnoff?
George Carlin was the best, but I also like Chris Rock, Russell Peters and Eddie Izzard...I always watch their full videos on www.bestcomedyonline.com ...even at work :))
Oh...and also Jeff Dunham, the ventriloquist...he is just too good at what he is doing :)
Sorry for the bump, but I must say that I am disappointed by the lack of Andy Kaufman.

He's a love it or hate it guy, but remember he died for you. Lung cancer.
Man, I love Dave Chappelle's jokes. Too bad he left his show
I saw Stephen K. Amos live last year. He was fucking hilarious.
I saw Iglesias recently on comedy central and he is one of the funniest motherfuckers I've heard in a long time.
Someone should be added to the comedian list:
Brian Regan

Like Gaffigan minus the socially awkward persona and food joke abundance. He's clean but extremely funny. A lot of his stand-up (or at least what I've watched and listened to) involves embarrassing stories of him being dumb at a younger age as well as with essentially how ridiculously he views some school and adult life situations. Very funny, hard for me to explain properly.
Stand ups:
Brian Regan Life (Audio)
I walked on the moon (DVD)
Standing Up (DVD)
The Epitome of Hyperbole (DVD)
He's also done Comedy central presents stuff, catch him whenever you can.
Robin Mutha-fucking Williams. The man. The legend.

One of my favorites.
Brian Regan
I don't know how he can do that thing where he looks in two places at once.
I like Mitch Fatel, even though almost all of his routine is about sex, he pulls it off great.

This season of Last Comic Standing is getting to be almost depressing. The acts have gone from great to average, and it seems they've cut the variety in the show to save time and copy American Idol.
The quest to find the next best comedian has turned into a literal take on its name, where whichever comedian has the most good material gets to win.
Besides, non-stop stand-up acts from the same people week after week is sort of boring. The mini-competitions and elimination duels added flavor and intensity to the show, the mini-competitions helping us better acknowledge the strength and wit of the competitors (or lack thereof), and only having two comics actually perform per episode and competing to stay on the show helped keep things fresh.
And worst of all, no more Roast episodes. :saddowns:
Also, for the sake of actually having a woman on our comic list: Iliza Shlesinger, last year's winner of LCS.
