There is an interesting theory which I haven't studied, but have heard of that suggests our entire solar system of planets are electromagnetically linked by the plasma emitted from the sun and that all bodies moving within that plasma create a subtle effect on every other body. If that were true and could be proven, then there would be a basis for how the Mayan calandar calculates these things on the basis of astrology. I know the Maya had astrological observatories. Does anyone know to what degree they understood for example the planets, or did they have a theory of planets at all?

The mayan calandar just resets.nothing will happen.A war might happen and a big solar flare will happen but nothing serious like "world blowing up" or some shit like that.

We never know. People say bullshit, and I agree. But the world could end in 5 minutes for all we know. We can't predict everything.

In effect the Mayans predicted the end of their civilisation in 1519, not 2012.
