Right now do you see "pitch black" out of your elbow? No, you don't. You see nothing out of it, akin to blind people seeing nothing out of their eyes

I suppose a more apt analogy for blindness would be to try and imagine what areas of the electromagnetic spectrum look like which we cant see. Imagine what an infared object would look like. Nope, now you are imagining what a RED'ish coloured object looks like. Infared isn't humanly possible to see or imagine, you can only imagine what it would be like if it were [I]transposed[/I] to a different colour. People who have been blind since birth have no reference point whatsoever, and in fact the part of the brain that would usually handle vision instead takes on other functions, and so is virtually non-existant. I once read that blind people dream in sounds. I sure hope that's true.

I thought deaf and blind people "see" things through touch. Now, a deaf and blind person without nerve endings in their hands and feet, that means they're in deep shit.
