first of all, i am neither saying god is real or denying his/her existence. I don't believe that a giant man in the sky shitted us and the whole world into existence in 6 days, nor do i believe that, if there is a god, he even knows we exist. The way i see it is that god is like a person and we are like ants (if a god does exist). Just like we see ants, we could look at them for days and days on end, and not know at all whether they are good or bad, in the same way i don't think god would know which ones of us to punish if he is real. If he could see us, we would be so infinitely small to him there is no possibility he could understand that each one of us is an individual and that we are all different, again, like we see ants. Sorry if this thread doesn't have much content, i'm trying to see what fp believes and spark some discussion. Discuss.
stop babbling boy!
I take it you either agree, or you're offended.
Was going for some /sarcasm... pretty much failing though.
Was going for some /sarcasm... pretty much failing though.
Oh, well I considered that. I need new batteries for my sarcasm meter.
Every religion is based around the thinkings of man. Also would every major religion be disproved if aliens were/are found to exist?
One of my sisters extremely religious friends claims the dinosaurs didn't exist because the bible says so, y'know ignoring that they clearly did.
One of my sisters extremely religious friends claims the dinosaurs didn't exist because the bible says so, y'know ignoring that they clearly did.
What and god put Jurassic park and the fossils there as tests of our faith?
God was created by man.
Which is the best irony ever created.
God does not exist.
Yes he does.
Yes he does.
:v:
Yes he does.
Of course. And Garry's a unicorn and circles have 4 right angles.
Of course. And Garry's a unicorn too. And circles have 4 right angles as well.
But, garry is a unicorn.
Of course. And Garry's a unicorn and circles have 4 right angles.
Atleast I don't belive in fucking aliens "OH GOD HELP ME THERE COMING TO PROBE ME LETS WORSHIP ALIENS LIKE A GOD YET CALL OURSELF NON BELIEVERS"
One thing is certain, if there is a god (or several), it/they certainly wouldn't give two shits about us humans. Especially not if they are anything like us. Mankind is very egocentric, it's amazing how strongly popular beliefs claim that we are awesome/special.
Atleast I don't belive in fucking aliens "OH GOD HELP ME THERE COMING TO PROBE ME LETS WORSHIP ALIENS LIKE A GOD YET CALL OURSELF NON BELIEVERS"
... What?
Atleast I don't belive in fucking aliens "OH GOD HELP ME THERE COMING TO PROBE ME LETS WORSHIP ALIENS LIKE A GOD YET CALL OURSELF NON BELIEVERS"
What does atheism/agnosticism have to do with beliefs in extraterrestrial life?
God abandoned us as a failed experiment. So he moved onto another earth-like planet.
Atleast I don't belive in fucking aliens "OH GOD HELP ME THERE COMING TO PROBE ME LETS WORSHIP ALIENS LIKE A GOD YET CALL OURSELF NON BELIEVERS"
Troll? Right? ...right?
Atleast I don't belive in fucking aliens "OH GOD HELP ME THERE COMING TO PROBE ME LETS WORSHIP ALIENS LIKE A GOD YET CALL OURSELF NON BELIEVERS"
I don't get it.
Troll? Right? ...right?
Indeed good sir.
What does atheism/agnosticism have to do with beliefs in extraterrestrial life?
Most atheist seem to believe in aliens. In fact some atheist go as far as to to think we where created by aliens.
If people can take God seriously (creator of the earth sitting on a sky and whatnot), I have developed my own theory. If they can believe in God, then I can worship a holy teapot pouring out life. The teapot can be found in the middle of the universe, and the reason of the universe's expansion comes from the tea that is constantly moving outwards. An effect from the pouring. The universe will reach an end when there is no more tea. Still looking for new worshipers.
Most atheist seem to believe in aliens. In fact some atheist go as far as to to think we where created by aliens.
Aliens are in the same boat as god as we know it, no evidence for either. However if you consider the size of the universe (Which I don't think any of us can really do) It's pretty unlikely we are alone and to say aliens don't exist is fairly short sighted.
Most atheist seem to believe in aliens. In fact some atheist go as far as to to think we where created by aliens.
You'd have to be a special kind of stupid to believe that out of the billions of trillions of planets in this universe, we have the only one with life on it. You have to differentiate between any kind of non-earth lifeforms and super intelligent lifeforms in saucers who seem to target bored farmers with no excitement in their lives for their probing experiments. No atheist would ever claim that Earth had been visited by little green men, because the evidence for it is about as good as that of a God. But to claim that apart from our tiny blue planet, the Universe is just a massive lifeless void would not only be arrogant as hell, but also stupid to the point where a slap would be the only decent response. Extraterrestrial lifeforms? I'm sure of it. Little green men in flying saucers with tractor beams and grainy-footage-emitters? I'll believe it when I see it.
