Manly Tears thread: movie scenes that make your cry

Never shed a tear, but the closest I've ever come to it is near the end of the first Lord of the Rings.
When they start wheeling JGL away to have his surgery done, in 50/50.
The way they just thrust you into it, without the buildup.
Every time.
Mine would have to be Antichrist where Charlotte Gainsborough trims her bacon with a pair of scissors, that always brings a tear to my eye. I'd guess guys would say the opposing scene where she crushes his love plums.
Super 8 brought a tear to my eyes, its 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
Old Yeller
Peter Jackson's King Kong
that is all
Pussys.

Holy shit, this is probably the first movie I can physically remember watching as a child. I completely agree with you, and now I feel sad again
In 50/50 when he is going into surgery and is being put under.

Dat feather.
In Gran Torino, the scene where Clint Eastwood is singing the song Gran Torino at the end made me choke up for some reason.

I just watched this and... just... just... fuck. Seriously, the opening scene... the end scene... THE ENTIRE MOVIE, rather, is so depressing. Hell, THE HAPPY MOMENTS are depressing, because you know that at the end, they will both die.
No wonder people just tended to leave the theater when this movie was shown after My Neighbor Totoro (which is practically the happiest cartoon ever made). I myself wouldn't have the balls to watch Grave of the Fireflies afterso much optimism.

I just finished watching Third Star, and I've been hysterically sobbing through almost the entire last half, and I'm still doing so 20 minutes later. :v:
The scene in the Italian movie Life is Beautiful where the dad [sp]get's killed by the Nazi officers to distract them, and protect his son[/sp] I've only seen the movie about twice, and both times I shed manly tears.
The end of Hachiko: A dog's tale. [sp]The owner died, the dog's been waiting there for him for 10 years.[/sp] To be allowed to be on Youtube, it's a version dubbed in some other language. It's an American movie.

Obviously the feeling is much amplified if you've actually watched the movie. True story movie, I recommend it.
2001: a space odyssey
[sp]daisy, daisy...[/sp]
The end of Forrest Gump always makes me cry manly tears, but when I saw War Horse that made me cry alot as well.
