in Hugo, when [sp]Hugo says the machine's broken and the filmmaker (his name escapes me) says, "No, my boy, it's worked perfectly!"[/sp]
fuck i'm getting choked up just typing it. i'm way more susceptible to crying at happy or victorious moments in movies than tragic ones.
Some shit from Western Front

50/50 made me both laugh and cry
just finished ghost in the shell SAC 2nd gig for the second time.
i really really had to try phard to hold back the man tears with the whole satellite business...
and how they were singing that one song
All of UP, also the execution scene in the Green Mile.
just finished the pianist again.
at first during the final piano scene i was saying to myself "aww you've seen this probably 5 times you won't even feel the man tears".
i have to say it was harder than ever to hold em back this time. especially because all of my previous viewings i had no musical talent. now that i do i fully understand how much fucking raw emotion you can put into totally playing the fuck out of something.
it really really struck a chord in me this time
ending of toy story 3
only movie that ever made me cry
Major lost spoilers, can't media link it because the spoiler is in the title.
The Dark Knight Rises [sp] when Alfred is crying at Bruce's grave. [/sp]
This so fucking much. I watched it last night with my girlfriend at the first screening in portugal, everyone in the cinema was to the point of crying
The Dark Knight Rises [sp] when Alfred is crying at Bruce's grave. [/sp]
[sp]It's okay though, near the end we learn he is still "alive," Just not as the old Bruce Wayne. No more Batman, no more Bruce, just him settling down to finally live a quiet life, just as Alfred imagined.[/sp]

My sis cried at that point but I knew what really happened because yknow, it has happened before with the Batman endings.
Also, not a movie but.

In Toy Story 3 when they all hold hands going towards that huge fire in the incinerator.
All the goddamn way through the Curios Case of Benjamin Button.

Maybe it's because I grew up with a dog that looked exactly like shadow but I still feel tears coming on whenever I see this.

Has anyone got a recording of this or a clip? I cried so much and would love to watch that part again.
why are you people posting scenes?
You're just ruining movies for anyone who posts.

Yeah or you could just not come into a thread that is obviously gonna have spoilers or not click the video?

yeah but when videos are on screen, I want to click. :(
good thing I've seen them all.
Moon's ending. It has a both strong, yet really sad scene play. The mix between the "former" (ill) Sam crying in the moon base and the normal Sam, going home in a vessel scene really gives me something that's really hard to describe.
Also, GERTY.

Moon had a kiddies sadness, nothing hardhitting but makes it's okay to post here :-)

kevin spacey's character is always insanely lovable. even if he doesn't appear in person.
apparently the guy can do really good impressions of celebrities too. i've yet to youtube it but it's something i wouldn't expect from such a remarkable and unique yet so monotone way of speech he has.
[sp]i actually felt a bit of sort of fridge sadness in the whole ordeal. none of the clones on the base were even real. nothing really would be accomplished by one of them going back to earth. chances are the company would retrieve the pod he was in promptly and kill him. even if he went back to his "family" he'd be turned away.[/sp]
i think the whole movie is a really bleak statement about corporations being lying assholes and the whole human labor issue that's been going on ever since "work" was created.

you kidding?
if you really think about the entire situation there's no hope whatsoever. there was no hope from the beginning, middle or end.
the movie is really god damn sad
Manly Tears were evry where

I don't know quite why, but every time I watch the final episode of King of the Hill I tear up.
Gattaca's ending, don't watch this if you haven't seen the film

Thin Red Line when they bayonett charge the japanese camp in the fog, that scene in combination with the music is so emotional. Hans Zimmer, man!
Also Platoon had some really moving parts, the music in that one is just so damn good aswell, but I can't think of it any particular scenes. I've gotta rewatch it. Same with Band of Brothers.
Guess all I watch are Warmovies, but everything else has already been posted, Toy Story 3, Forrest Gump. One that hasn't been mentioned is An American Tail, I really felt that one aswell.
Shed tears if you must,

The scene in The Artist at the premier of George's own film. I'm surprised no one else listed that.
"One last shot"

Are you serious
Like for real bro
The man learns that [sp]not only is his whole life a lie, everyone he ever loved or knew is not allowed to ever see him again[/sp]. How is that "kiddie sadness"
