Picked up "In The Land Of Grey And Pink" by Caravan today. About as pansy as it gets in terms of prog, but it's still good.

Steven Wilson talks about doing a 5.1 surround remix of a classic prog album this year. And given how much they influenced his work, I'm going to guess it will be a Pink Floyd album. And I'm also gonna guess it will be a 40th anniversary re-issue. And which floyd album was released in 1971?

He also says they've finished mixing Opeth's new album.
In short: YAAAAAAAAAAAAY

I prefer that to moon, but overall I'm an Animals kind of guy. :3:
I'm not very sure if this has been asked yet but are there any new prog bands that are notable?
Porcupine Tree but I dunno if you would call them pure prog.
Either way Deadwing and In Absentia are both fucking sexy albums.
Hypnos 69
Yesterdays.

Too bad that they split about a month ago.

Fucking Haken.
I will keep mentioning them here until people appreciate them :v:
Any prog bands that use sitar, hit me up with some albums :smug:
Anyone here heard of Enochian Theory? I just found out about them and they're great. Sort of like Porcupine Tree, but with a more epic, orchestral feel.

This version of All Along the Watchtower sounds pretty prog and uses an electric sitar.

Not bad, but not quite what I'm after. Tries too hard to be oriental.

Apparantly it was a covermount in the Daily Mail and I forgot about it, anyone heard it?

Rishloo, which is closer to traditional prog. Or RX Bandits, which aren't exactly prog, but are pretty darn close.
Listened to Lunatic Soul today... borderline Prog Metal but I think it's a perfectly awesome new prog rock artist.
Worth listening to, it's awesome.

Akayz, did you listen to The ConstruKctrion of Light yet?
I got my friend (System Of A Down fan) to like Roundabout by Yes, Are You Ready Eddy? by Emerson, Lake and Palmer, In The Presence Of Enemies by Dream Theater and Dancing With The Moonlit Knight by Genesis.

Lunatic Soul is a side project of the lead singer of Riverside, who are definitely worth checking out if you haven't done so already.
(Although there is a good chance you already knew this, since I discovered Lunatic Soul because I'm a Riverside fan :v:)
