Should I get a fretless bass as my first bass? I'm a pretty hard practicer and I already play some guitar

I personally would love to have a fretless bass, and that is why my next bass will be a fretless 7-string bass :c00lbutt:
Okay so I've decided to get into prog rock Gonna listen to Court of the Crimson King. Can somebody recommend a Rush album to start with? [sp]Akayz I know you can[/sp]

[sp]Fuck Akayz I am the Rush nerd here.[/sp]
I really like the album title Caress of Steel so I'm gonna listen to that first, Moving Pictures after that [editline]3rd May 2011[/editline] Thank you
I started off with Caress of Steel too. In fact, it was my first ever prog rock album! The Necromancer and The Fountain of Lamneth are to brilliant songs. [editline]3rd May 2011[/editline] I'd also highly recommend Hemispheres. Personally I think their were at the top of their game with that album.
Permanent Waves and A Farewell To Kings are definitely worth checking out too As is Vapor Trails, Signals and Power Windows hell, all their albums are worth checking out, they're such a consistently good band
Moving Pictures is a great gateway album.

I'm not sure what to think about that

[sp]Akayz I know you can[/sp]
Honestly all their stuff up till Moving Pictures is fucking amazing, even the newwave progressive stuff is alright. I would reccomend starting on Farewell To Kings, it kind of provides a middle section between their hard rock epic sci-fi/fantasy stuff going into their more progressive stuff. It really gives you a feel of what Rush is about, and their end epic is probably their most hardest/metal song of that time. also I forgot Xanadu...... XAAAAAAAANAAAAADUUUUUU-

Their name is Ningenisu. Planning to listen to some of their stuff later.

For the love of god avoid Broadsword and the Beast. At least until you've listened to Songs from the Wood, Aqualung, Thick as a Brick and A Passion Play

Well that's why I'm asking. I haven't listened to it.
It's probably one of the worst album covers I've seen, but must be awesome :smug:
Worst album cover you say...
