I can only do that to about Hold Your Fire. After that I usually get bored :smith:
But, Counterparts!

Holy fuck, I have the surround sound version of Red and the plugin works SO well with it..... That section with the cello has the guitar feel though as though it's buzzing around your head. Such an amazing experience. :psyduck:
What plugin?
What plugin?
Just uploaded the Red representation. But this version is the actual 5.1 mix so it sounds different.
I think there is a LOT more layering with this 40th anniversary edition, must be unbelievable in true surround sound.

Use headphones, doesn't work too good with just speakers.
Opeth, Ayreon/Star One, Dream Theater, Mastodon, Pain of Salvation, Porcupine Tree, Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad/Devin Townsend Project/Devin Townsend Band, Amorphis, Gojira, Savatage, Orphaned Land, Fates Warning, Voivod, Agalloch, Anathema
Just a few out of many
Already listen and like Dream theater and Mastodon. Gave Opeth a listen to but couldn't get into them. I will give the rest of them a listen to. Also, I can't stand tool.

:< why not?
:< why not?
Nothing about them really catches my attention. I tried and i just couldn't get into them. Though i have listen to a song with the main singer in another band and thought it was decent.
Which album did you try?
Because if it wasn't Lateralus it really needs to be Lateralus
Undertow and Lateralus are def. the best albums from Tool.
My personal favourite is AEnima but Lateralus is the best introductory album

Have any of you listened to this?

Fripp actually smiling for once? He usually looks so serious in his pictures and when he's playing.

I remember being linked to one of his photoblogs or something, and he has lots of pet bunny rabbits. :3:
Would Between the Buried and Me be considered progressive metal? I think so, as does Wikipedia. Worth mentioning if any of you aren't familiar with them. Pretty great variety in their music. Bit strange at times

Besides the existence of a stereotype within a genre does not preclude examples which buck said trend :smug:

That's pretty impressive. Yes should be fun, they don't have many "bad" albums.
By the way, I just oredered this :smug::

I've only heard one track from the album, so I hope I won't be dissapointed (not likely).
I love innovative and "extreme" stuff like this. I appreciate the fact that people are willing to take risks to carry their genre forward.

Hope so. Any other great obscure albums I should hear? I figure you would be the right person to ask :v:.
